AZ wins this matchup EASILY. Snoop's a one album wonder.

Snoop wins easily for me. Even objectively. He is more entertaining, betta rap voice, they are about even flow wise but i'll take Snoop's flow.

neither one of these dudes are favorites of mine and for different reasons....AZ though quite lyrical is boring to me...he has ZERO charisma which is one of the main reasons that his career never really took off and kept him as Nas Jr.

Snoop on the other hand has plenty of charisma but not alot of lyricism, he has been hiding behind his slang terms ...kinda like Mac Dre but Snoop is more lyrical than that cat by miles and miles...


between these 2 Snoop has made the more memorable albums IMO, even though quality wise AZ's have been better, but for this one I'll go with Snoop!

AZ wins. Doe or Die and Doggystyle are a kinda a wash for me, but id take the rest of AZ's discog over the rest of Snoop's discog.

I'll have to go with Snoop since I don't have that many AZ CD's in my catalog. Snoop doesn't have any classic albums other than Doggystyle but with the material he has released, guest appearances, etc., I'll have to go with him.

If you look at his discography as a whole Suge then Doggystyle would be his only classic. I'll edit the statement.

Those are definitely valid reasons, but I am a big snoop stan so very few of his albums are not dope to me. Plus AZ has dropped his fair share of duds.

I don't count the Sicness releases cuz those are mixtapes. But the only AZ official albums that were duds IMO are 9 Lives and Undeniable.

I count the siccness releases and also N4L.

Given AZ's shorter catalog I think he has more duds than snoop.

Fair enough...but there's an awful lot of consideration being given to albums and what not. I'm just not so sure everyone understands the point of this.

Only criteria I asked that we leave out is sales, money, and mass appeal. Everything else is a go.

Snoop does more porn that AZ - boom he wins.

I went with Snoop because he has more songs that I like, but when AZ is on his game he is tough to outshine.

While I agree, I wouldn't say GOAT. More like legend, household name, or star. No denying Snoop's impact and success.

However, I'm voting for AZ, simply because I like him better. Like the Meth vs. Pac poll, sucks seeing one of these two take an early exit.

I don't know about that. Lyricallly i'll give it to AZ. But if we were having a rhyme cipher I think more folks would feel the old Snoop more than AZ. Lyricism while no doubt is key to being a top tier emcee, it is only one of the keys to the whole key ring.
