SMH @ the nitpicking. It's an incredible verse on wax.

I think you relate to this verse because he addresses Kelis and women cheating and being unfaithful. It's not a weak verse, but far from a dominating, amazing display of lyrical ability.

Yes, I can relate to the verse but even if that weren't the case I'd still hold it in high regard. It's not the greatest verse he's ever spit, but it's a great verse nonetheless IMO. And several people consider this to be at or near the top of the list of 2010 verses.

Who are those people because I am not aware of anyone considering this a top verse of that album, let alone 2010.

And a few people in this forum (myself included) feel it's the best 2010 verse (I believe there's a thread on that somewhere).

It's easily the best verse on the album IMO. Granted, it's not among Nas' all time best verses, but I was simply trying to show Jeffery why Nas is IMO the best MC in the game today, because he's one of the few guys that's been rhyming for close to 20 years that still consistently delivers dope material, and that verse is an example of that.

The first article is a notable quotable, not calling the it the verse of the year. Same with the last article, is merely a review of the song, not calling it verse of the year.

Then the middle is a forum thread that starts out with "you mad" - obviously some nas fanboys in there when they make a verse of the year thread in july ... with 5 months left in the verse.

I'm sure plenty of Nas stans consider it the verse of the year, but I have yet to see one reputable source or critic say the same.
