Jean Grae lyrically will knock him off his big feet...yeah he can spit without taking a breath for two mins and use a bunch of "big" words but Jean is using the same type of words but she's got a much better flow and she's smoother with hers...she wins easily

Anyway, I voted Gift of Gab. He only has a mixtape and the Mighty Underdogs album (+ EP) in this time frame, but both were high quality, and he just has so much more skill than Jean Grae. In terms of lyrics, she could compete, but his flow and delivery are miles ahead of hers, the way he adapts to every beat so well.

Oh yeah, I guess it's mainly "Dropping Science Fiction" vs. "Jenius". In that case, it's still a blowout for GOG (IMO Powell). In fact, that Mighty Underdogs has reach top 5 of the year easily IMO after listening to it so many times. Just bought it on wax about a month ago as well.

EDIT: I know you'd like this album more than the Blackalicious you heard Powell, but we'll probably never know...unless you turn to the dark side of downloading. lol

There it is, I would see GoG definitely gets her on Quality/Consistency/Body of Work, and obviously his total career work far eclipes jean's.

I don't know how some of you are saying Jean completely kills Gift of Gab. Gift of Gab is a more skilled lyricist and has made better albums in my opinion. There is no hate toward female rappers but Gift of Gab is the better rapper.

Gift Of Gab makes betta albums than Jean Grae and to me he is more diverse on the mic. I like Jean but to me her flow is off some and she crams to many words together not clearly like Gab does.
