| Monch, and i dont see how you can vote otherwise based on talent.
Monch has the better voice, and flow, and is better lyrically.
Monch also has 3 arguable classics, like Cube does, Cuba may have 4, but even people who compare catalogs its about a wash. Monch should win this easily when you're talking about MC skills

Monch may have the betta flow and may be betta lyrically when you judge lyricism off punchlines and bigger vocab. But Cube lyrics mean waaaaaaay more than almost any of Pharoahe's lyrics. Do not ever dare to compare these two like that. I would just rather you say I prefer Monche. You really tried thugh lil homie...lol.

Explain to me why Cube can't say the same thing but do it with the lyrical precision of Monch?[/quote] I really dont understand the part I put in bold. But I will answer to my best comprehension of it. Subject matter is lyricism to me. To make your subject valid the contents betta make sense. Cube is not a lyrical mic battling punchline rapper like Pharoahe is. Now I do know that Phar has good-great subject matter also so I am not blind to his talents. I just think Cube does it better and more often. I am always going to root for the common man's rapper over the more complex emcee vocab or methaphor wise. |

If you would've said that 3 years ago, a bunch of arguments would've been avoided.

| Kev, the question was why can't an mc be complex like a Monch while still having the deep thoughtful subject matter like Ice Cube. Why can't Cube keep his subject matter while doing it with Monch's skill? | |

| Here's the deal.
Monch is without question the better MC when it comes to wordplay, but Cube has dropped more classic material song and album wise.
I don't fault anyone for voting for Monch, but I voted for Cube because he's dropped more dopeness overall IMO. I don't see how anyone can fault someone for doing so. |

I feel you. Like KRino for example he's more complex with the subject matter. And Monche is also. But Cube lyricism in his prime was better than Monche lyrical style either way to me. And I guess you'll have to ask Cube that 2nd question...lol. |
