| lil wayne is def top 100, his work with big tymers, hot boys and solo work has definitely had an impact, and like it or not not hes the biggest rapper today. hes definitely slipped in the past few years, but when all his hype dies off maybe hell get back to making good music. |

| Lil Wayne is a top 100 hip-hop act of all-time easily...
he is NOT in my top 400 of all-time let me make this clear, but if I'm using my voting criteria correctly then he more than qualifies for top 100 of all-time
when you go back to his earlier material he was Fat Joe legit on the mic, meaning he was not outstanding by any means but he was average, now he's below average lyrically IMO, but he's become a huge star, impact and influence are his, also he's dropped at least one classic, was a founding member of a groundbreaking hip-hop record label, his work with The Hot Boys (who I also voted top 100) has to be taken into consideration....I mean I actually can't stand Lil Wayne but he has put in enough work and had enough of an impact to be a top 100 hip-hop artist of all-time, whether I like it or not..
top 100 easily IMO

| I voted the Cash Money Millionaires in as top 100 partly due to Wayne, and it doesn't seem fair to vote him in again. Although his first two Carter albums, The Block Is Hot, and the first two Hot Boys albums would probably get him in for me. | |

See, this is what I don't understand about the way some of y'all vote. This is just supposed to be some top 100 list to show a HH4L forum consensus of opinions. If you don't bump Lil Wayne and don't feel any part of his music you should just vote neither IMO.

| Alan we've been over this and I'm not trying to start a fight here, but yeah, it's pretty clear you don't understand.
Some people can acknowledge that they might not like everything that's great, that for some reason their personal tastes might not match up with what's good. It's like this, Al, I fucking hate the Backstreet Boys, but clearly they have a measure of talent and if you were talking about best pop acts of the 90's they'd clearly be in the top 10. Follow?
I give Powell a lot of shit and I think he makes unnecessary side comments about me for absolutely no reason so yes, I do it back to both him and KJ but TRUTHFULLY I'd say he votes as objectively as he can 90% of the time.
I wouldn't feel right about a top 100 list without including the rapper that won more grammys than any other rapper ever. IMO dude sucks, BUT he obviously accomplished a lot. |

| No. No way. Neither.
I don't care how many people he's got fooled, I am not one of them. And he's not getting my vote based on his marketability. Which is exactly where his 'impact' comes in.
Yes he brought hip hop to the front, more so than anyone else. I am ashamed that this music I love is represented by him in the public eye.
Fuck Lil Wayne. | |

| You might as well vote in Backstreet Boys, Nero, because this douche is one and the same. A pop star who gets little girls to spend dollars. | |

I guess you didn't need to tell me again, just like I didn't need to ask the question again. I still don't truly understand why you or others feel this way. Yes, I read your reasons here, and have before, but I don't understand why they are relevant reasons. I've made my case about it plenty of times, like yourself, so we'll have to agree to disagree, because I feel like Parker... - Kid Joe wrote:

Fuck Lil Wayne. I STILL did not vote because I have not heard an album by him. But to be honest, I could give a fuck if I ever hear one. Honestly, parker is making a lot of sense to me lately. Even if I haven't heard an album from Lil Wayne (or whatever rapper), I should probably vote neither, since he is technically not in my top 100, period. But I'm not sure if I'll vote that way...depends.

| Neither, dude wouldn't make my Top 200. He's a shitty lyricist and one of the reasons for the horrid state of hip-hop today. |
