I recommend taking a look at this list. It's interesting, in a good way.

It was a good list, I guess. Those albums were def controversial but I'm sure there were worst that I can't think of. I voted for Top Dog's Slam Dunk N Ho's as my favorite of the list...it was just hilarious!

i agree that KKKill the Fetus and The Name, The Motto should be on there, and i agree the AZ joint has no business its a random mixtape lol...
i dont think Untitled was THAT controvesial, the title was but no one fussed too much about the cover from what i remember
also you would think the original cover to Ghetto D would be there since its banned but whatever

I'm a little surprised that Live And Let Die didn't make the list. Also, i didn't know Crack had a different cover.

Yeah, I don't know if it was changed for sure, but I have this flyer:
and I always thought the cover was going to be like it, but maybe it was just the flier? RAL usually doesn't give a fuck about censorship.
Given the cover to heroin and cocaine i really think these dudes just got their facts wrong.

OK, I had to go back....
KMD "Black Bastards" was a good call, but follow it up with The Roots "Game Theory"? I see why it's "controversial", but it's so abstract considering how many times the concept has been done.
Again, with the Ice-T and his "Gangsta Rap" album? That's explicit, not controversial at all!
And that Top Dog album cover is just gay...
The Coup "Party Music" was a good one because that shit dropped right before 911...Paris was also good in the same vein...

Explicit and controversial go hand and hand.
Most of the covers on there belonged but some could have been left off. Like that Az and Roots cover.
Nas album made it because anytime you talk about or visually represent anything with slavery, race, or racism its a problem.
How this POS cover did not make it is beyond me:

ZRo's Crack was my favorite. That would of been one bad ass cover.
