Elzhi, I definitely respect Slug's grind with Atmosphere and their ability to peak at #5 Billboard, but I personally like Elzhi as a rapper better. I can definitely see someone voting Slug with the voting criteria though.

Way to have an unbiased post, Steve. I see Elzhi as the better rapper, but (as Steve pointed out) his grind can't match Slug's and neither can his discog.

Elzhi has skill, but on the voting criteria, Slug has him beat handily.

The Preface was my runner up AOTY last year, and sits at 5 stars for me. Europass is easily 4.25-4.5 stars.

Atmosphere dropped 3 great albums/EPs (Lemons (4.25 stars), Strictly Leakage (4.75 stars), SCBSpring (4.5 stars)), 1 good EP (SCBSummer (4 stars, with on of my favorite Atmosphere songs, Sunshine)), and 2 mediocre EPs, both around 3.5 stars.

Elzhi was also dope on the guest spots he's been on, Elzhi wins

Elzhi is easily the better MC. Slug is cool but he ain't fuckin with Elzhi.

Too bad Slug didn't hit someone else first round. He would've beat alot of these emcees.

I'll be straight up...

If Slug stepped his lyrical game up, Atmosphere would be one of the best in the game today (possibly THE best). If Slug was replaced with someone like... maybe Grip Grand or Gift Of Gab, Atmosphere would rip the ish out of any group (next to The Roots) today, IMO

Slug pretty easily IMO. Though Elzhi ain't no slouch with his material either.

its like the ncaa's, some teams are in different brackets so they can get the proper seed.

LOL - Well, I try to put up what I'm bumping a lot lately. The Coup fits the bill for now even though I had an Arrested Development cover up there about 2 minutes ago. lol
