"No Mercy" by T.I.

How would you rate this? I would also like your opinion on this album.

Link I say expectations is what is killing this album not the music. Its a typcial TI album. It's King, Urban Leg, TI vs. TIP, all that shit. It has life songs, thoughts songs, party trks, lame trks, get buck trks. Typical TI.

I only skip like 3 trks on this. I can see 3-4 objectively at the most. Those first 7 trks are nothing but good music.

I can see it at a 3.75 at the most right now. Anything lower than a 3.5 is ignorant.

Please. T.I.'s verses sound like they were written while he was asleep on here. There's guests on practically every track, none of the production is as good as "Paper Trail"...

"Amazing" and "Lay Me Down" are unlistenable, and "Strip" is close.

This is not typical TI. The typical TI song/cd has an uncanny ability to toe the line between pop boppers and traditional hip hop heads. This is strictly for the pop boppers. If you're not completely turned off by pop bopperism, the cd is a decent enough listen.

Its typical TI to me. He always had a real mainstream sound but mixed in well with some substance trks. Samething on this one. Y'all just had something else in mind when you bought it...lol. All TI albums after Trap Muzik are for the "pop boppers".

This album is just like Paper Trail to me. I do think PT is better but its dang there the same album same vibe.

There is nothing about this CD that will make you want to give it a spin in the future. There are 14 tracks on the regular edition of the CD and atleast 7 or 8 of those are club/strip club tracks. This is awful. I have it at a 2.5 right now.

I mean come on. What TI albums were you guys listening too? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TI has always has mainstream ready trks and some very weak ones at that. So what on this album is so damn different from the songs I listed above?

Most of those songs you listed are actually good... with the exception of Porn Star...when you put stuff like what you know, 24s, and rubberband man on there then it's hard to take that list serious... a lot of those are commercial songs.. but good... a good half of those songs just happened to blow but I do not consider them commercial... I would have no problem with this CD being pop as shit if it was GOOD music. There is very little good music on this CD... just throwaway shit.. funny how the same guy who would probably shit on Kid Cudi music all of a sudden thinks a kid cudi song is dope because TI is featured on it?

The ones in bold are the "club" trks or whatever. I can dig Amazin for what it is. The other 4 I skip with the quickness. So I like 10 of 14 trks on this album. I usually skip 3-4 trk on every TI album anyway.

I mean hear youand if I was in your shoes maybe i'd feel the same way. But i'm not a big TI fan so maybe I wasn't holding him to a higher standard or something.

Well it was popular...right? All i'm saying I think expectations is killing this album for you guys more so than the music. Maybe you guys thought he was going to come even harder since getting the jail sentence or something. I had heard this before I bought it and it was typical TI to me.

Please keep in mind I am not trying to say this cd is all that. I get where you guys are coming from. I just don't think its as bad as folks are saying. Lyrically he is spitting some nice bars. I like a lot of the hooks and beats. I think 3.5 is as low as this album should get. But once again i'm not a big fan of his so maybe that plays a factor?

What is so different about those songs from the other songs I lsited? I mean i'm not seeing it. Did you listen to the King album? ....lol. Is this your first TI album?

I liked paper trail, but it was already going downhill there to me because porn star was the first TI track i didn't even bother to let finish - SKIP!

This CD has around at least 4-5 songs I couldn't stomach to even finish... which is bad...it also had no songs I hit the replay button on either.

Get Back Up is probably one of the best tracks on the CD but I can't bother with anything that little bitch chris brown is on...

Kev if you look at the responses, it looks like you're in the minority here. Maybe I need to check your TI credentials and not vice versa.

I own every T.I. album save for I'm Serious (which isn't worth owning) and this one is easily the worst since that album.

It's one thing to have a commercial sounding album, but at least make the tracks dope and not straight up bubble gum material. Radio friendly tracks are fine as long as they're dope lyricially and/or production wise. This album does neither consistently.

Anybody rating this over 3 stars is a T.I. fanboy. It's crazy how T.I. and Ludacris went from releasing 2 of the years best albums in 2008, to 2 of the years worst in 2010.

Yeah once Shawnna abandoned "Battle Of The Sexes" he just should have scrapped the whole project. I don't know what Luda was thinking.

I'd take Urban Legend over T.I. vs T.I.P. but both of them are better than No Mercy.

I don't like I'm Serious, I DO like TI vs TIP, and I will probably get this for christmas so I'll let you know what I think then or shortly after.
