Neither of the guys are going too far, but Slug is mostly underrated. He's creative as shit, and he's certainly dropped a few gems. I've never ever been wowed by Paz lyrically. Slug...here and there.

Get out of my head, parker! I'm in agreement with you here too. Though I think Paz has shown flashes of being a solid lyricist, my biggest knock on him is that he feels the need to tell everyone he's Vinnie Paz in almost every verse he spits.

Paz... Slug is creative and a good storyteller, but that's all he's got IMO. Plus, I'll listen to JMT/AOTP over Atmosphere most of the time.

I don't care either way. I think Paz is the overall better rapper but Slug is more creative. But if I was forced to choose I guess i'll go with.............

Damn, tough match up. Big fan of both, I agree with everything Parker said about Slug. He's an everyday man rapper, it's easy to relate to his songs. I like that shit. Vinnie though, I'm a Pazmania stan, this dude has always come correct. His brute honesty, vicious flow, this dude is a monster on mic.

I'll take Paz here, but it's close.

since when is rapping skills all about lyrics? Even so id MUCH rather listen to Paz, Camron, or Santana's lyrics over Slug's and a lot of other guys

Also, in my statement you quoted I also cite Slug's creativity. That aspect certainly adds to his overall entertainment value. That said, I listen to JMT and AOTP a hell of a lot more than Atmo or Felt.

Atmosphere's early stuff will always carry weight with me. Lucy Ford and Overcast impressed the shit ot of me when I first heard them, and they still do.

Slug is way better than Juelz IMO.

Slug easily for me. I can relate to pretty much everything he's ever spit and that draws me in way more than a "loud, angry guy". I probably would have loved Paz in my teen years, back when I was a "loud, angry guy" myself. I'm gonna have to add Paz to my Opinion Remix thread, tho, cuz that Season of the Assassin has really grown on me.

I definitely do not listen to JMT or AOTP because of Paz. I listen in spite of him. Years and years of one cadence, one vocal tone and practically one topic.

Hope it's not too late to vote. I voted for Slug. I would rather listen to a JMT or Paz album but Vinnie's voice really almost kills it for me. Slug is a great storyteller and i relate to alot of what he spits about.

So it may not make sense, but i like JMT better than atmosphere, but i'm voting for slug.

i can see that but im not gonna lie Stoupe felt lost without Vinnie on his solo

That album could not have been more disappointing.

i agree, there were some heaters on there but overall something was missing. The song with MOP knocks hard

Vinnie gets my vote but it's pretty close. And I agree with parker about him being one of the worst members of AOTP.

Either one of these guys could give a fuck about your opinion which i like/respect about em...they entertain different moods-which makes this VS. kind of...odd. a JMTlive show is off the fuckin chain, the mix of heavy metal culture within their image/sound stikes a cord with me, and im a sucker for the 'Ill bash your fuckin skull in" rap...Slugs storytelling mixed with Ants beats are 2nd to none in hip hop if you ask me...each have a crazy underground following...so my answer is....Louie Doggs aka the Genocide General aka Vinnie Paz

Never really listened to Slug, and Vinnie is dope as fuck. I'll just go with the Paz man.
