The creators also finished the first season of Treme...about people from all different walks of life bringing New Orleans back after Katrina. After one season I would say I like it better than The Wire, which is saying a lot. There are quite a few actors that star in both series. They also made the Generation Kill miniseries which was pretty good.

| I love The Wire. I've watched it all the way through about four times. I don't think Cedric and K-Rino look alike. Yeah, they are both bald, but that's about it. But back to The Wire...it's probably the best television series of all time. In my opinion, of course. | |

| Lol yeah i can see it.
I'm just about to start the final season.
I almost stopped watching early in season 2 because the beginning of season two with the docks and shit was boring to me. I'm really glad that I didn't because this is definitely one of my favorite, and best, shows ever. It's somewhat frustrating how they constantly endear characters to you and then kill them off, but that is part of what makes the show great.

Season two probably starts off the slowestr of the 5 seasons, but the payoff at the end of the season is worth it. I also agree about endearing characters to the viewer and then kill them off, but what impresses me more than anything is the way they develop a character who has done some of the most disturbing things on the show, but in the end you are still attracted to the character. Brodie is the perfect example. What him and Poot do is season one was tragic, but by the end of season 4 he was one of my favorite characters. This is why The Wire is the GOAT.

| That's exactly it. They make you despise someone, then eventually like them, then kill them lol. Almost all of my favorite non-cop characters have been killed, except Omar, but thanks to Eminem's "Drop the Bomb On 'Em" I already know his fate... | |
