Smif N Wessun are not a top 100 act of all time. They have one undisputed classic, and every release afterwards has been somewhat of a disappointment.

Love their debut, but they are also a neither for me.

Their first one was a complete classic, and their second one "The Rude Awakening" was 4.5 stars IMO, their third one Smif-N-Wesson Reloaded was 3.5 stars IMO, and number 4 was a dud

they have a very decent catalog

top 100 EASILY

Powell two good albums is not a decent catalog when someone has been in the game over 16yrs. Smiff Wessun are one hit album wonders and are no where near top 100, top 200 more so.

I think The Game has been more consistent with his output though. There's no denying Dah Shinin, but they have too up and down for me. Don't get me wrong. The rest of their catalog is good, but IMO, it's not top 100 worthy.

The rest of their catalog is not good to these ears, I rushed out and and got that 2nd album when they changed their name. Dah Shinin, dope style, and chemistry is what they added to hip hop legacy that's it imo.

I like their other 3 albums, but if not for Dah Shinin, those albums would be easily dismissed.

IMO, the Luniz/Yuk have been more consistent, but that's just a matter of opinion. The Luniz and Yuk in particular have other stuff going for them. They are far more impactful, influential, and important to the bay area than Smiff N Wessun is to NY. It doesn't matter to me because i always vote based on who i listen to. I'm just saying though.
