Best Album 1994 Round 1: Everything Is Everything vs. Ready To Die (B)

Who the fuck is this..........

Ready To Die wins easily. As much as I like Brand Nubian, this wasn't one of their better efforts, and Biggie's debut is one of my all time favorites.

Haven't heard Everything is Everything so no vote. I want to check it out though, it sounds like it will be more hardcore than One For All and In God We Trust.

It's not as good as either of those though, it's not as good as Foundation either. It's a 3.5 star album at best. None of their albums are "hardcore" by defintion. There are some head nodders on it but I wouldn't call them hard per se. It's worth a download but not worth a purchase at full price. The only Brand Nubian album worse than Everything Is Everything is Fire In The Hole.

Based off of one listen, I like Everything is Everything more than One For All, but not more than In God We Trust. I'd say it's in the 4-4.25 star range. It's not better than Ready to Die though.

Really?? Wow you don't like One For All? That shit is classic to me. Everything Is Everything is kinda slow and boring in parts. One For All's got better lyricism and production.

When I first listened to One for All a long time ago, I liked it a lot more than I do now. I revisited it today along with In God We Trust before listening to Everything Is Everything. One for All honestly just bored me in parts, and I felt like it was way too long. It has some classic tracks for sure, but as a whole I just think it is good, not great, and certainly not classic. Of course, this is my opinion.

I could see someone liking In God We Trust more even though I disagree, but not Everything Is Everything. Puba keeps things interesting for me personally. I love Sadat, and Jamar has his moments but Puba's got the most charisma and he's one of the main reasons why I consider One For All classic. If you asked me to give you my fav Brand Nubian songs, most of them would come from One For All. You're entitled to your opinion but just stating mine.

You should check out Foundation next if you haven't already. It's really dope.
