KRob's Top 40 Rap Album Failures & Disappointments

Okay I created a new listmania list motivated by the Complex list we were debating in the other thread. This is my list so its str8 subjective, keep that in mind. I'm not trying to speak for the rap community as a whole or some shit...lol. I put some work in on this list so please peep it and give some feedback of any type.

I just went through the list Kev. I agree with most of the picks. Why is The Lex Diamond Story from Raekwon not on there. Why is H.N.I.C., Trill, Naked Soul Of Sweet Jones, & Dirty Money on there. Jive Records messed up Dirty Money by the album delays, etc. Like I said I agree with your list overall, but those 4 IMO shouldn't be on there.

Kev your on point with alot of your list man, but please remove ASAP

Given the criteria, I can't really disagree with anything on the list. Granted, I'm not all that familiar with Pimp C solo efforts or Dead Prez.

The closest one I'd come to disagreeing with, would be Rude Awakening, but it was somewhat of a disappointment after Dah Shinin'.

I meant to add that Dillinger Gotti crap and Malpractice may get added asap. I just ran out of room. A pt 2 may follow one day. I agree with all of those you listed Powell just the one's I listed I was personally actually looking foward too.

I did not put Lex Diamond because Immob came before that album. So it was the main reason I stopped checking for Rae solo wise. And did you read the reasons I put for listing each album?

That Dirty Money was not a good look after we waited that long for a good follow up to Ridin Dirty.

Immortalized is one of my favorites from Spice, probably 3rd or maybe 4th best to me.

Nice list. Way better than that Complex one because like you mentioned it's subjective and you didn't make it seem like anything more than that.

I can see bunny Please. I love that album, but from a hip hop standpoint, it's not too good IMO

You didn't like Too Short's Blow The Wistle? What about his "Get off the Stage album"?

Anyway, i'm not saying every album on that is list is whack. Certain ones like that Nas, UGK, & Jay-Z only made it because they did not live up to my expectations. I still enjoyed them and they had some classic songs spread out on them.

While your list is better than the Complex one, I strongly disagree with the following picks....

I cosign on the Malpractice rating, and you may be right about the Reggie album KJ.

Yeah, I originally had Reggie at 3.5 stars, but it lost replay value really quickly so now I'm thinking it's about 3 stars.

Man I just got caught up in the Fab hype there for a minute. And that album was a str8 blind buy and man was that a mistake...lol. I remember liking some songs on it but I should have left it in the store.
