Group Home wins. I like Bizarre Ride better than Livin Proof but not Labcab.

This one would depend on the mood I'm in. If I want production, I'd take Group Home. If I want better lyrics, I'd go with Pharcyde.
I've probably spun Labcabin a few more times, so I'll vote for it.

Labcabin is a very dope effort there is no question about that.....Runnin'>>>>>>>>>>>
with that said there is no FUCKIN' WAY that album is going to beat Preemo's GOAT production on Livin' Proof....NO WAY! Preemo blessed that album with some of the greatest beats I have ever heard....the 2 "emcees" are below average but boy are they lucky that despite them Preemo still made the album 5 stars.....Group Home wins!

I don't think Livin' Proof had Premier's best production. It's maybe 4th or 5th best for me.

4th or 5th best?? Just curious, what entire albums that Preemo has produced in full do you have above it??

I could possibly see the first 3 choices personally, but Wrath Of The Math, while having great production, is not seeing Livin Proof in terms of production.

I disagree with Wrath of the Math, but like Moment Of Truth's production better than Livin Proof's as well as the other ones you mentioned.

To me none of the above is fuckin' with Livin' Proof in terms of production although the closet on that list is The Sun Rises In The East....Hard To Earn is behind both Livin' Proof and The Sun Rises and Daily Operation is behind Step In The Arena and the other 2 (Livin' Proof and Hard To Earn)....Moment Of Truth is up there but it's still behind both Livin' Proof and The Sun Rises in terms of production IMO!

Primo is the Bill Belichick of hip-hop, he makes rappers sound better than what they are.
Pharcyde are better rappers, but the production of this GH album gives it the win for me personally. I'd take Bizarre Ride over Livin Proof, but not Labcab.

Where does lyricism rank in all this? It's not a winning endorsement when the rappers in question could've been removed and the album been better.
So so to Forgettable MCs+Excellent production vs Very Good MCs with chemistry+Great Production

If you threw Tony Yayo on those same beats would it still beat Labcabin? Is Living Proof the magic beans beats of Hip-Hop?

Livin' Proof is a celebration of Preemo and his incredible hip-hop production skills...thats what this is about...it doesn't have much to do with Lil Dap and Melachi (both of whom are very average to below average "emcees"), although I can appreciate Lil Dap's voice and flow a little bit....but this is all about Preemo and how masterful he is at creating hip-hop sounds.....Livin' Proof for me is a top 50 hip-hop album of all-time...and that has NOTHING to do with the "emcees" on it.......
100% unadulterated hip-hop music baby bubba........Preemo at his finest IMO! and this is just 2 of the bangers he produced on that album.....

I have the album but still like Labcabin more, I certainly don't deny Preemo was showing off for God. For me the MCs have to weigh somewhere in the equation. Anybody else on the Preem Team and this would've been golden. Not Gang Starr, not Jeru, not even Afu-Ra, but these negroes got these beats. I want to ask Preem who did these negroes put in the dirt on your behalf to be bestowed such a gift? (Don't tell me you haven't wondered.)

I understand what you're saying but there have been MANY rap albums that came out dope despite the rappers being below average lyrically. I don't feel either of these albums are classics though. I have them both at 4.5 stars. If lyrics were the end-all be-all factor for everything than Canibus would have had a better discog than what he has and be recognized as a GOAT candidate.
Powell is right, Livin Proof was all about Primo. Would the album been doper with better MC's? Probably, but that's irrelevant because the album was still dope nonetheless. Labcabin is dope as well but it just doesn't hold my attention the way that Bizarre Ride (which is a Top 30 or so album of all time for me) does.

I don't think lyrics alone is the end all be all factor but I do think it should weigh in somewhere.
It shouldn't be imbalanced like elephants and ants on seesaws. Knawmean? However these negroes should get knocked out in the next round. If they last longer than that then something went wrong horribly.

It all depends on who they are up against...they could easily win some more rounds IMO...but again it's all about who they're matched up against.....

Lyrics DO weigh in, but it's just A factor. I think Livin Proof wins this matchup in every catagory EXCEPT lyrics, and like Powell said it depends on who they're matched up against. There are a number of albums in this tournament that I'd take Livin Proof over.
