|  I guess I just can't get into  rap. I mean, there are a lot of good things about this album. The beats are pretty good, really smooth. Grieves isn't a bad rapper, although I'm not the biggest fan of his flow or his intent to sing on almost every track. A lot of this album just feels cheesy to me. I don't really have a problem with the idea of making a sad song or writing emotional lyrics. But if you are going to be sad, go all out man. Make the beats match the atmosphere you are trying to create. How am I supposed to take you seriously when you are rapping about depression and failure and then pulling sing-song choruses out of your ass? I mean, I really don't want to sound like a hater but this sounds like hip hop for the Vh1 set. It's really light, harmless stuff. I guess if you really dug the Atmosphere album from this year you'll dig this. Those are the only listeners I can rec this to. Some nice beats, Grieves can rap well from time to time, but this is just not for me. 2.5 stars. | |

| This is one of those select few times where I would stay away from an album based solely on the cover. | |

Fool, I've been preaching how Grieves was no good since day one. IMO Rhymesayers hasn't really released much good material in quite a while...much less worth anything listening to. | |

| This dudes in town next month, 5 days after Tech N9ne, Jay Rock, Krizz & Kutt Cal. Tough choice right, he's on w/some guy named Budo who looks like somebodys math teacher. Grieves is an example of video killed the radio star, his music is pretty good, but folks can't get passed the nerd visual. | |
