| +1 for SRP.
Cloud 9, very easily to me. The Score was a handful of great tracks, a couple pretty good ones, and some remakes and other assorted garbage. Cloud 9 is a classic to me.

Voting AGAINST an album you've never heard is ok because all that's confirming is that you really love the album you're voting for. Whereas voting FOR an album you've never heard is simply pure hatred and bullshit, not to mention that you might not even like said album you've never heard.

| It's the same thing. It's an uninformed vote based on a baseless assumption driven by strong opinions on one half of the equation.
Like Shaun said, if you can "love" an album so much you can make the assumption you would not like something you haven't heard better, you can "hate" an album enough to know you would like something else better.
So stop with your bitching and complaining when you do the same thing.

| Cloud 9... and I like The Score a whole bunch. It just isn't as consistent. Cloud 9 is a 100% banger.
I'm kind of surprised at who hasn't heard this album. I can most definitely say everyone here would dig it. Possibly not as much as myself, but still...

If it were up to you (and you alone), would it be in the final four of this year? If I were the only one participating, it would definitely make the final four. I don't recall all the albums of 96 off the top of my head, but it could possibly be a finalist too. I'm just mad that Nine pretty much disappeared after this album.

I would most likely rank this at #2, just behind Redman. Nine hasn't actually disappeared, but he'd have been better off. Quinine and Return of the Hardcore were terrible.

| I personally think voting for an album without hearing the other choice is equivalent to voting for an album you haven't heard. In either situation you aren't able to make a comparison between the two albums up for vote, so it doesn't matter where the vote lies, it's not an informed vote. So there's no way someone voting for an album without hearing the other could be justified in taking offense when someone is voting for an album they haven't heard. There's no difference in the quality of the votes.
Basically what SRP said, just backing that up.

| Imo only time someone should vote by default is when they are 100% the album they did hear is highly favored by them. Especially if time spent with the favored album is a nice long span. I think its childish and ignorant to vote for a album you have not heard just because you "dislike" or vote against an album due to its accolades, album cover, or other outside b.s. more so than its quality. | |

| I do not vote by default. The fact is if you do not know both sides of the match up you can't make a decision with 100% accuracy. It's possible to make an educated guess, but i don't think it's fair to either album to make that choice. How anyone else votes is their decision. All i'd ever ask for is consistency. | |

I can respect that. I don't agree all the way but I see your point. I think you can make a 100% accurate decision without hearing the other album. If Me Against The World goes against Funky Headhunters I am 1000% sure Pac wins. I know thats an extreme example but you get the point.

Basically what SRP said, just backing that up. Exactly, these double standard idiots are too dense to see it though. It's only considered a double standard when people like me do it because I'm not a crowd favorite in this forum like you are, but whatever. All I'm gonna say is in the future, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. That's fine, you kev, Powell, and others have been making uninformed votes from the jump, so for you to continue to do so will change nothing. The only person in here that has never voted by default is Half so your point is moot. Stop speaking out of your ass, it needs all it's energy for your date with Powell tonight. Speaking out of your ass is what you do best, assclown.
