These are both Top 5 for me, and I could easily change my mind at any given time, but I think I'll stick with Common on this vote. A great album, I always am surprised when people don't like it or hesitate to give it high praise.

Yeah well that Binary Star album is a classic. Since you liked Senim Silla's debut (and I'm surprised that you did) chances are you'd like this album as well.

KJ, I strongly disagree with that post. MOTU is a backpacker underground album; a style that Kev rarely enjoys. Senim's solo was really abstract, with meaningful pro-black rhymes throughout. Two totally different approaches to hip hop, IMO

I'd agree with this. I think MOTU is more similar to SONOGRAM than it is to The Name, The Motto, The Outcome.

Anyway, Common wins this one by just a little bit.

Damn good points. I sampled the MOTU and like you just predicted its not for me.
