Who do you blame for hip-hop being co-opted by trash?

I really blame the major label heads first and foremost, but 99% of all the biggest artists allowed themselves to be used for the okie doke. Jay-Z could do a lot, but is too worried with making money and his brand to try and bring it back. Same with Nas, but he's happy to just stay relevant now I think.

There needs to be a movement to take rap back, but I just don't see it happening. People love Nicki Minaj and all that tight pants hipster crap too much.
