It's group mentality in violence. The more people involved the worse it will be. Gang attacks goad each other on. They could not do that crap alone. It's like those cheerleaders that beat the shit out of one girl over MYSPACE. It was like 8 of them. Violence of this nature happens when people are around to egg each other on or silently condone as an audience by saying nothing.
In GA I remember a story of a mentally disabled girl being gang raped over 20 people including kids and ADULTS who videotaped which is how they were identified. One of the adults was afraid of being identified so he sprayed pesticide down the girls throat causing her to go into a coma. Mass ignorance is catastrophic.

Thanks to that whole "group mentality" stuff like this went on quite a bit back in the day, and was never spoke of. It still goes on, it's just now it's harder to get away with it thanks to the many media avenues and resources we have now.
I bet if today's technology was available back then, things would be very, very different now. So many people wouldn't have been able to get away with all of the stuff they did back in the day.

I just moved to Oakland Park. This whole fucking area is bananas. If it was all Lauderdale instead of these little two-mile townships the violence would rival Detroit. (maybe not, but it would be nationally visible)
I think that's why it's so broken up, so it doesn't effect tourism.

Kid Joe you in live in Oakland Park?? I lived there when I was a jit. I live in North Lauderdale but also grew up in areas like Sunland, Shallowside, Tater Town, Sistrunk, etc...The funny thing is the actuall city of Miami makes up about 1/5 of Dade County and the Ft. Lauderdale makes up like 1/8 or 1/9 of Broward County. Alot of Miami n Lauderdale's "suburbs" are jsut as dangerous and hood as the "inner city" parts but.
Most of Florida's towns have found ways to lie bout the crime rates so they don't scare tourists away. What streets do you live off in OP?? ()

I actually live in Laud Lakes, right at Oakland & MLK.
Not much work down here, though. I figure my savings will be good for a few months. Union's holding my spot bak home up to a year, so I'm just kicking back. If we can get a real storm I'll make some money, otherwise fuck it.
