| This is an area that I tend to focus on the most. I love instrumental albums.
Take - Entire discog... Nicolay - Entire discog...one or two albums have some rapping on them, though Damu The Fudgemunk - Entire discog... Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician (from Five Deez) - Entire discog... The entire Samurai Champloo Soundtrack (4 discs) Thes One (from P.U.T.S.) - Lifestyle Marketing Pete Rock - The Surviving Elements: From Soul Survivor II Sessions Nujabes - Entire discog...but there is some rapping to be found. Blue Sky Black Death - Slow Burning Lights Blue Sky Black Death - Late Night Cinema
Dilla is tops for me, but I totally see your point...
Anyway, start there if you haven't heard all those yet. I have all of these recs, so if you ever need an upload, just let me know...

| Nice selections indeed Norf.
And to rel, check out Kankick - The Traditional Heritage, and pretty much anything from Kankick.
Also Pete Rock - Petestrumentals if you haven't already heard it.

| Blockhead might be worth looking into. He is the guy that made the beats for Aesop Rock (who I am not a fan of) but some of the instrumentals are real nice. Also RJD2 is pretty nice, "Since We Last Spoke" is the better smoking album from him. Also Count Bass-D released a free instrumental cd not that long ago, "Robbed Without A Pistol" which might be worth looking into. | |

any suggestions? and please none of that dilla type minute and a half stuff Heard of Do Make Say Think? Check out Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn. It's actually post-rock but there is a big jazz influence. Also check out Permutation by Amon Tobin.
