| Agreed.
It's not like the medium ever died in the first place. Retailers are just following trends...

| Once the old people still buying them die, there won't be any reason to continue making them. With MP3s, CDs, and Vinyl, each has its advantages over the other two. Cassettes have no advantage. They degrade more quickly, they sound worse, and they're less convenient to use than digital music. | |

| I own cassettes, but I don't really listen to them often. They are in storage. The last one I listened to was Kool Mo Dee "Knowelege is Power. Having to wind those things back by hand with a pencil was a pain. And hoping they didn't get ate up by the walkman was the greatest fear.
Now that I think of it, cassettes sucked for those 2 reasons alone. But they were easy to record on. |

| I prefer CDs and digital.
My tape player tried to eat many a tape I owned.
I remember when CDs were expensive as hell.
I thought minidiscs would be the revolution but it never happened. They're so easy to lose but I think Japan still uses them.

I thought minidiscs would be the revolution but it never happened. They're so easy to lose but I think Japan still uses them. I wondered what happened to mini disks. They dropped off of the face of the earth. I prefer cds and digital also. For me, tapes are good for nostalgia purposes only. |
