Only two people from the west coast so far in the top 50? One female? Greats that did not make it? Most non-gangsta/hardcore rappers in the top 50? Very interesting list so far....

That is actually a wayyyyyyyyyyy more solid list than I thought it was at this point. Only thing I would change is Short Dog and Grandmaster Flash in the somewhere

I thought that at first, but when you look at the rest of the list, there's Spice 1, Snoop, and Ice-T, all of which could be in a top 50 list. And honestly, what other sure fire west coast picks are there?

DJ Quik is the most obvious because he is in my top 20. What about NWA and the solo career of their members? I'm sure some of them will make the list.

NWA is already on there, as is Cube. They're the two west coasters (Ha!) in there. I don't think anyone elses solo career is enough to merit a spot here. Eazy definitely wouldn't make it, IMO, and Ren could, but it would be a fight.

Man, i missed NWA on the list. I would vote for Ren, but not Eazy. I do agree that it would be a fight.

That's true but than people will start saying a neither and top 100 should cancel each other out. I also think Short made the top 100 and because he was high in the top 50 and top 100 but Neither was the majority.

We really should have done this with some sort of points system. It would've made everything a lot easier, and there would be none of this "he should've gotten in" talk. Oh well

On the original forum, I said I was gonna go through at the end and use a system, which would also have given it some semblance of order within the top 50 or top 100, based on voting strength. But now all the numbers from the other forum are gone, so we're pretty much stuck if we're gonna be consistent.

I guess we could hold new voting for the people we did at the old forum, then we can assign a system that works out the list better once we have those raw numbers too.

Yeah, but that would take a long time to get all of that back. Unless Kev has it all written down, which he may. A system would make this real specific and get right down to where everybody should be placed
