| Top 100 easily. His debut "Back to the Old School" with Kurtis Mantronik behind the boards is my favorite, while he changed it up a lot and still dropped pure heat on his sophomore "Kool & Deadly". Both are classics IMO, but that's where it ends. "The Desolate One" is pretty good, but no classic. |

| Neither.. outdated flow and style... OK lyrics.. nothing great. Just ICe was not top 100 during his era so definitely not all time. |

| I'm actually going to have to vote neither for Just-Ice
He is top 200 material no doubt about it but if 3-6 Mafia or Eightball and MJG aren't getting in the top 100 hip-hop acts of all-time for me then I don't see Just-Ice making it either...
his impact though is huge in the "gangsta" rap segment, and his work with Mantronix is legendary...those first two albums are 5 stars easily, but his overall career was pretty much through by 1990, if he could've kept it going at least until 1995 in terms of being a viable artist then maybe he would've made my top 100 hip-hop acts of all-time
he's still dope..I would advise any of you who are not familar with those first two albums to go cop them...KRS had a big impact on that second effort from him with production and emceeing
"Back To The Old School" and "Kool And Deadly"...pick those joints up

| Would you group Mantronix in the top 200, Powell? |

| Nah Mantronix is a top 100 hip-hop act of all-time
the things that he did with hip-hop production were amazing...he's very unnderrated, but he would make the top 100 hip-hop acts of all-time for me...his innovations with the production were too good to ignore man

I guess I put Just-Ice in the top 100 because his first two records are not only classics, but I play them a lot as well. Mantronik's production on his debut is sick, but then the second record with the KRS-One production is a huge leap forward IMO. Those two records were sonically great for different reasons. So that's my thinking there. But like you said, those are his only two (very) worthwhile joints, so top 100 is a stretch objectively I suppose. |

| I was just reading Norfeest's Mantronix review (The Album) and he says in there that Kurtis Mantronik put on EPMD. Interesting...I never knew that. |

This only adds to Mantronix strong case for the top 100... |
