| I got bored today, so decided to see how the voting results would turn out if we used a point system. I decided to use 2 points for a top 50 vote, 1 point for a top 100, and -1 point for a neither vote. I don't know if that's the best way to do it, but it made the most sense to me, since a top 50 vote is really a top 100 vote also. I then divided by the number of votes, since that wasn't equal for each poll.
This only includes artists we've voted on here, since I don't have raw numbers from the old forum. I've included those even with a negative results, just to show how they all turned out. This definitely differs from the way we've been doing it. For examples, Paris made the top 100 list Kev has been maintaining, while Too Short didn't. But here, these results show Too Short had stronger voting than Paris.

| I would have made neither 0 points. Both work, though | |

| I'm not good at math so what the hell does these 1.?? numbers mean? It is all the votes added then divided to show what? |

The points were added then divided by the number of votes, because the number of votes wasn't equal for each poll. So it's a way to correct for the disparate number of votes.

Then it would be like they didn't vote at all. -1 makes their vote matter.

Not true, because you're dividing the points by the number of voters. Either way, though

Not true, because you're dividing the points by the number of voters. Either way, though Yeah, I didn't think about that.

| Day 49:
Del tha Funkee Homosapien 1.17 Tech N9ne 0.41 Das EFX 0.24
...and the way we've been doing votes, Das EFX makes the top 100, and Tech N9ne doesn't, when clearly Tech has the stronger voting.

| I'll keep posting the results after each day of polls, but unless we redo the voting for the ones from the previous forum, it's not gonna be complete. These the artists that would need to be voted on again, to make this complete:
Rakim LL Cool J Outkast Kool G Rap KRS-One/BDP Run DMC Ice Cube NWA Public Enemy 2Pac Big Daddy Kane Scarface Nas A Tribe Called Quest Jay-Z Notorious BIG Geto Boys Wu Tang Clan Pete Rock and CL Smooth Enimem Ice-T MC Lyte Snoop Dogg Slick Rick Heavy D
Since we already voted on them before, we could do a bunch of polls a day, for a couple days, and get them out of the way quickly. That's up to you though.
As for how this works, it basically just measures the relative strength of the votes. The numbers only mean anything in relation to each other, it's just to put the artists in order. So, The Roots are #1 so far, in the artists we've voted on here, because they have the highest number.
