Prince Buster is real old school. I love Toots and The Maytals, but that's basically just Jamaican flavored R&B type reggae.

they put one out almost every year and it hits on the type of shit you may dig and you could get your fix on one disc.

Acrid, no problem mon.
Kid Joe, Toots is the man, last time I saw him was up in the Sco with Izzy Vibe.
SRP, Sizzla is indeed the shit. my favorite two discs of his are Black Woman & Child & Praise Ye Jah, but I suggested The Story Unfolds because it is a double disc compilation with nothing but the goods.

Now that's a lineup, My buddy's in Monterey want me to break bread for the over priced weak lineup at the Monterey Bay Reggaefest this year...not gonna happen. I had a blast at Del Mar, they still have a concert every thursday of the summer? I went to get drunk and bet on the races, but the band that was there was I think Switchfoot...wish it was Steel, I know they play there a lot. Hit up Karl Strauss for dinner & more beer on the way back to East County, great day SD is paradise.
Edit: forgive me if I've told that story before, for some reason I think we discussed this already.

I dont think so....last time i went was that concert right before i left to the service. Funny thing is, i think i remember hearing they stopped doing the reggae shows, because of the mass amounts of cannabis being smoked at the shows. Homie, when i say that shit was a hottboxed outdoor festival, thats what i mean....
they also have the Bob Marley fest down in LBC and San Diego..i wanna say its not called the Bob Fest anymore tho, i need to ask my brother- anyways, yeah this fest is like the Rock The Bells of reggae shows
nah, weve discussed shows but we never really got into details- always good to hear stories about what shows people are going to....
