| If i buy an external optical drive(CD/DVD Drive), can i still rip cd's to my computer with it? | |

| Yeah, it's connected via USB. I would assume i can still rip cd's from it, but i want to make sure. | |

| I've never used one, but I don't see why not. If you can play CDs from it, you should be able to rip from them. Both actions involve accessing audio files from the disc. | |

| Well, i just went to Best Buy and the generally worthless staff was able to answer my questions this time. You can rip with an external hard drive. I copped one. Plugged it in, and i was immediately able to start ripping. Good times!!!! | |

| Also, for future reference...
You can google things like "can i rip cds using an external cd drive?" It usually comes up with results from tech forums and whatnot. That's what I usually do if I have a question. | |
