| Co-Sign Linker, Zone Out SUCKS and kept God's Son from achieving classic status. | |

I've always said that "Zone Out" is the SOLE reason I don't give God's Son 5 stars, as much as I want to.

I disagree entirely. Oochie Wally wasn't a lyrical masterpiece but it wasn't intended to be. It's a party song and an entertaining one at that. Zone Out just completely misses the mark.

Maybe if they re-issued God's Son without Zone Out like they did with Stillmatic sans Braveheart Party then it'd be a different story.

Exactly, it's good to know that some people here are objective unlike others. I'm not even going to discuss the misuse of "objective" here (oops...) This thread has me wanting to spin God's Son again, I haven't done so in years. As for reissuing albums without tracks though, I don't agree that that erases the mark of the original. Stillmatic had Braveheart Party and that track definitely brought down the album a bit (it wasn't a classic without it, but that's just my opinion) and even though they re-released it without the track I think people still need to evaluate it based on the original album. You can't take an exam, turn it in, get feedback on it, then re-do it and expect to get a better grade on it. The same should apply to albums.

| I think we can all objectively say that
Zone Out brings down God's Son and Braveheart Party brings down Stillmatic. This is why I have neither album at 5 stars. Zone Out and Braveheart Party suck.
