| Other albums to consider:
Cryptic One - The Anti-Mobius Strip Theory (needs to be on list but won't get many votes) Dizzee Rascal - Showtime (I like it but nobody else does) Blue Scholars - Blue Scholars (you know Tran wants this in the discussion) Ill Bill - What's Wrong With Bill? (needs to be on the list IMO) K-Rino - Fear No Evil (should get some votes, it's quite nice) Jedi Mind Tricks - Legacy of Blood (should get votes) Murs & 9th Wonder - 3:16 (you know this will get votes) R.A. The Rugged Man - Die, Rugged Man, Die (will get votes for sure) Royce da 5'9" - Death Is Certain (will get votes) Jadakiss - Kiss of Death (kiss stans on here will vote)
EDIT: SOME MORE THAT COULD WORK
Devin The Dude - To Tha X-Treme Illogic - Celestial Clockwork Saul Williams - Saul Williams k-os - Joyful Rebellion Insight - The Blast Radius Leak Bros - Waterworld O.C. - Starchild Oh No - The Disrupt Pete Rock - Soul Survivor II Busdriver - Cosmic Cleavage Haiku D'Etat - Coup de Theatre Handsome Boy Modeling School - White People N*E*R*D - Fly or Die Oktober - Projekt: Building Necro - The Pre-Fix For Death 7L & Esoteric - DC2 Dilated Peoples - Neighborhood Watch Sabac - Sabacolypse Kool Keith - Diesel Truckers Q-Unique - Vengeance Is Mine Outerspace - Jedi Mind Tricks Presents Outerspace
not sayin I'd vote for all these albums just more to choose from

| JMT, Ill Bill, R.A., Q-Unique are some of the best in 04, I'd say. Jadakiss, Leak Bros & Murs are all excellent, too | |

not sayin I'd vote for all these albums just more to choose from definite co-sign to the bold, and might as well throw in Encore. I mean, Nastradamus was in the '99 tourney.

| College Dropout and The Tipping Point look like winners from the list so far. I would throw in Madvllainy as well although I prefer MM...Food. Two of my personal favs that prob won't get far are Purple Haze (Cam's best IMO) and Kiss of Death (Kiss' best IMO). This is a good year from the list so far. I prob won't need to vote default very much at all. | |

Ding ding!....But na its not that i'm necessarily tired of it. Just seems not many participate anymore. So why waste my time with all these albums that will not make it far anyway? But I see with this year 64 is a must. I cosign a lot listed so far. And like Wand I won't be default voting much this year.

| Dude, Kev, eliminate half the list you posted because it's at least half trash and post this ish. I would literally take John Cena's My Time Is Now (which dropped this year) over 95% of that. Make it easier on ya:
Cryptic One - The Anti-Mobius Strip Theory Blue Scholars - Blue Scholars Ill Bill - What's Wrong With Bill? K-Rino - Fear No Evil Jedi Mind Tricks - Legacy of Blood R.A. The Rugged Man - Die, Rugged Man, Die Royce da 5'9" - Death Is Certain Illogic - Celestial Clockwork Leak Bros - Waterworld Haiku D'Etat - Coup de Theatre Handsome Boy Modeling School - White People Necro - The Pre-Fix For Death 7L & Esoteric - DC2 Dilated Peoples - Neighborhood Watch Sabac - Sabacolypse Kool Keith - Diesel Truckers Q-Unique - Vengeance Is Mine Outerspace - Jedi Mind Tricks Presents Outerspace
Specifically, Ill Bill, Sabac, Leak Bros, Illogic, Royce, & Cryptic One, which I all have at 5 stars.
And for the millionth time, if you actually seeded albums then people would vote more, instead you make it easy for us to assume you let your bias dictate which albums go against which. Oh and if half the forum heard more than 5 hip hop albums post 2000 more people would vote.
Here's some stuff nobody else would vote for, probably:
Masta Ace-Long Hot Summer Hip Hop Forever 2 (Jazzy Jeff) Wordsworth-Mirror Music Jean Grae-This Week (maybe Trotter?) Heiruspecs-A Tiger Dancing Hangar 18-Multi-Platinum Debut Album Megalon-A Penny For Your Thoughts (Trotter will fucking kill you in your sleep if you don't include this) Brother Ali-Champion (How has this not been mentioned yet???) Pastor Troy-By Any Means Necessary MC Breed-The New Prescription Project Deadman Bizzy Bone: Alpha & Omega Haystak: Portrait Of A Whiteboy (Terry, SRP) Vordul Mega: Revolution of Yung Haviks (another classic IMO) Goretex: The Art Of Dying (this would get votes) Blockhead: Music By Cavelight (so dope, should get votes but no one listens to instrumentals) El-P: Collecting The Kid J-Zone: Job Ain't Nuthin But Work Louis Logic & J Love-Odd Couple Lil Wyte: Phinally Phamous
I think that's all I got...

you're not comprehending at all which either means you're stupid or in denial?? I think it's a combination of both...let's try caps for the slow one... DURING ALL OF THESE VOTES WHENEVER I HAVE VOTED BY DEFAULT THEN WHAT THAT MEANS FOR ME IS THAT I HAVE ONLY HEARD ONE OF THE ALBUMS LISTED NOT BOTH...THE ONE ALBUM THAT I HAVE HEARD I EITHER DON'T HATE IT OR I LIKE IT ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR IT BY DEFAULT....IF IT IS AN ALBUM THAT I HATE THEN I WILL NOT VOTE AT ALL, OR IF I HAVEN'T HEARD EITHER ONE OF THE ALBUMS THEN I WON'T VOTE OR WRITE ANYTHING IN THAT PARTICULAR THREAD AT ALL, IF YOU CHECK BACK YOU WILL SEE THAT I HAVE NOT VOTED NOR WRITTEN SOMETHING ON EVERYONE OF THEM (THE THREADS) WHICH HAD EITHER ONE OF THE FOLLOWING THINGS IN THEM THAT I JUST MENTIONED, BUT I WILL VOTE BY DEFAULT IF IT FOLLOWS MY VOTING CRITERIA I JUST LAID OUT....UMMM JEFFREY THIS IS MY VOTING RULES...YOU HAVE YOUR OWN....I WILL NOT BE LISTENING TO WHAT METHODS YOU USE TO VOTE WITH...BUT YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO CONTINUE VOTING WITH WHATEVER STYLE, USE OR METHOD YOU CHOOSE AND I SHALL DO THE SAMETHING....I ALSO STATED THAT I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HAVE ALSO NOT HEARD EVERY RAP/HIP-HOP PROJECT EVER RELEASED! Do U get it now lil jeff?? if not then Have an excellent day mayne!

My point is this: MOST of your votes are by default. Therefore, why vote? You're skewing shit, Powell. Just like a johnny come lately liar telling me what's "fringe". You know every Psycho+Logical release has sold more than Black Market Militia, Steve-O? |

| Jeff, we have had our own debate on this default topic so no need to rehash...
But one thing still bugs me. I don't think it would be very fair or useful if, let's say, you are the only person voting on a particular matchup because you are the only person who has heard both albums. The fact that you are the only person that, by your definition, is qualified to vote, means that an otherwise unknown album will beat out an album that everyone else loves. Popularity does not equal quality but there is something to be said for the fact that some albums have been heard by all of us. Clearly those albums had some sort of significance to us all, not just a minor few.
In my opinion, it is kind of pointless to include some of these lesser known (to the forum) albums because it only creates the scenario by which people are enticed to vote default. If the matchups were between more widely heard albums then there would be little or no need for default votes. Between us all, there are still plenty of albums to include that the majority have heard.
And yes, there are some albums that are not as popular out there that blow away some of these better known ones but the fact still remains that they are unknown to the voters. It would be fucking sweet if we could all spin each album that is up for debate before voting but thats not realistic.
In my opinion, I think we should just start a new thread where people discuss albums that are lesser known that we think should get more attention. That way, people aren't just voting and ignoring the other album but instead might be intrigued to actually listen to it.
