Best Album Of 1995 Pre List

1995 is about to be fucking crazy. While I was composing the list I noticed how many highly favored albums came out that year. While in previous yrs we had 2-3 predictable winners I don't see that happening this year. So who you ridin wit, whats your top 5-10 picks?

Yeah its Lord F. i'll double check the release date on that. That Natas was added out of slots needing filled. But Season Of The Sic will probably replace that one...lol. Not wasting time including too many of those above since they will get really no votes against many albums on that list. Reality Check was in 1994's tournament. The list we have now is pretty tight imo comp wise. A lot of contenders. for round's 1-3 at least.

I'll keep my mind open as possible though. If more chime in for those albums we'll see. No promises.

I hate you with a Passion, is about the only thing I can think of which might be considered for addition.. I would vote for Gang Bangin Poetry though hell yeah.

I am pretty certain Lord Finesse The Awakening was 1995 at least printed on the artwork... But Amazon says February 1996 release date. I have little trust in Amazon, they can be a mine field of incorrect info, however they can also be accurate so....

I checked wiki (I know) and its says 96 also.

Oh yeah gotta add I Hate You With A Passion. I know there's at least 4-5 people on here that like that, myself included.

A lot of times the album can be pressed and then the release date gets pushed back. With it being a February release, it's certainly possible that it was actually pressed in 1995 but not released until 1996. I know that Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being is the same way.

I'll check into Hate You With A Passion. Its just that we have enough filler albums already. If I am missing some contenders that has a chance to truly make it past the 1st round thats what I am more concerned about.

Parker i'm riding for that Nine Livez also. Just not riding as long as you may be riding...lol. Hard to believe for this year Double or Nothing would make someone's top 5.

There's lots of top 50 albums up there for me.

I was all about everything Def Squad at that time. It's easily my favorite production from 95, and a couple of Red's illest verses are in there, too.

It says Lord Finesse had a single off Awakening that dropped in 95 and another single drop in 96 so maybe the album did come out in 96 but was recorded and pressed in 95 like Terry said

Definitely one of my favorite years.

'95 was the year that Wu-Tang Clan took over.....they ruled that year with an iron fist with all of their solo material flooding the market.....it was definitely a top 5 year in hip-hop history for me..

All In The Game - not even his best album and I doubt 3 people on here have heard this.
Brothas Doobie - not many funkdoobie fans on here, no chance to win
Tales From The Hood - I think albums should make the cut before soundtracks
Station ID - really? way more people have heard and bought c-bo and dre dog than these guys
Mack 10 - there's a handful of mack 10 fans and he has no chance
Da Hood - A few have heard it, but C-Bo and Dre Dog are better known
Mr Smith - good album, but no chance to win.
Take A Ride - one of my favs from 1995, but more people have heard Bo and Dre
The Show Soundtrk - dope soundtrack, but shouldn't cut an album out
Jazzmatazz 2 - really only for guru stans

Coolio's Gangstas Paradise definitely needs to be on that list over all of those.

With those you make some sense and thats debatable.

But in case you forgot Funkdoob and Guru made it to the 2nd round one of those yrs. Mack 10 is waaaay more popular than Bo and Dog put together. I do see your point in the albums over the soundtrks though. I'll see what others think. But i'm not only going by your lol posse. I want someone else to chime in also.
