Buckshot & 9th Wonder - The Solution (11/13/12)

1st album was solid. I'll give this a dl, maybe buy.

Both of their albums were indeed solid. Hopefully this new one will be on par with those.

This is a MUST purchase......

their first one "Chemistry" was pretty good (4 stars)

and their second one "The Formula" was a classic IMO (5 stars)


so I'm definitely getting this one!

Im looking forward to this. The Formula is a classic to me. One of the best albums of the 2000s IMO

The Formula was definitely not 5 stars smh, it was solid though

Pretty good list Myers....although there is more then a few you have that this Buckshot and 9th would rank way over in anticipation of....like Lupe Fiasco, Chino XL, Kendrick Lamar, Sean Price and probably even the Craig G (because of his history of making dope albums....he's only released one above average album in his career IMO which was Operation Bring Hip-Hop Back in '08, he's a freestyle/mixtape emcee specialist)...

I'll pass on this album. No interest at all.

I sure didn't. I wasn't doing the MP3 downloads last year, lol. Although I still buy CDs, I've slowly but surely found out that the MP3s saves me quite a bit of money, lol.

As much as I hate to agree with Powell, I'm def anticipating this 9th and Buckshot. Both Chemistry and The Formula were dope as fuck. I never really understood the Buckshot hate either. That being said, Mic Tyson is def my most anticipated album of this year. GFK, Skyzoo, and Guilty are up there too.

Honestly, I wasn't anticipating that Skyzoo either until I heard the Theo vs JJ EP. He can be really fucking boring sometimes. I'm just really hoping the album sounds similar to the EP.

Skyzoo's entire career can be capsized as pretty boring IMO.....he has had his moments in it, but overall that dude puts me to sleep.....

Yo I dont know what you are talking about. Buckshot is one of my fav MC's but thats when he's dropping hardcore lines in his Black Moon days. While he was dope on the Formula i didn't find it classic. I'm not really anticipating the Xzibit any more or less than the Solution, but from what I heard by Xzbiit the last few years he has me more excited at the moment.

For example:

Xzibit ft. King T and the Liks - Louis XIII (prod. Dr. Dre)
Apathy ft. Xzibit - The Recipe (mukrs this verse)
MC Eiht ft. Xzibit - Need Air
Xzibit - Hurt Locker
1982 ft. Xzibit & Cassidy - Goin Back
Bishop Lamont ft. Xzibit - Hallelujah

I just hope it doesn't get stale like the Murs and 9th Wonder series. 9th has got to bring it cuz he's hit or miss sometimes.

I'd agree with that...although I think lyrically Buckshot is murking Murs so that should help out a bunch, but all producers are hit or miss for the most part...all have some small or major glitches on their resumes....

9th Wonder is an awesome producer, best since the 90s (even if he was a nobody working then), but he is a pretentious beyotch. He has hosted some great ustream's, but like I said, full of himself.
