| I'm not penalizing dude, I'm just saying he's not on my list for top midwest mc's because he doesn't fit that sound IMO. Dudes that go against the grain know that there are advantages and disadvantages to it, and IMO this is one of them. Dudes that favor east coast boom bap are gonna like you more and dudes that expect you to rep the midwest style are gonna be disappointed, but skill is skilll and I'm not hating on anybody I'm just saying he's not in my top 10. |

| Jeff that was a great breakdown of the mid west majority sound...I really think Esham, Breed, Twista, Detroits Most Wanted, and Twista are the true pioneers of that mid west swag. Of course i'm sure there are more unknown pioneers in the trenches but they come to mind 1st. |

| You're right, KRob. Twista definitely deserves to be mentioned twice | |

Just been busy and didn't read it. I see where you are coming from though. Even if Lo's particular sound is not at the core of the midwest "sound", I tend to like the soulful midwest sound that has evolved more since the mid 90s similar to his. | |

| I totally see that. But suffice to say Slum Village, Black Milk, Binary Star, Atmosphere, etc etc etc aren't the first groups to pop in my mind when people say "midwest artist". |
