Let's take a look at DJ Shadow today. Does a shit load of types of music, not just those that sound like hip hop. He's had a critically acclaimed 1st solo release and though he doesn't come up too often, he makes bangers. Top 50?

yeah dont mind kev, he is on his period 24/7. if you were back on amazon (and on here) anyone questioning his picks or answering the way he did would have gotten more whining than a vineyard from that pussy.

Have you even heard any of his material, Kev?

Anyway, his first two solo albums ("Endtroducing" & "The Private Press") are both 5-star classics IMO. And I'd go as far as to say "Endtroducing" is a consensus classic as far as hip-hop instrumentals are concerned. Also, much of his early work with the Solesides/Quannum crew is definitely classic.

That said, he makes top 50 quite easily IMO.

I like him, but his catalog isn't established enough to crack Top 50 IMO.
