| Who are your top lyricists? I mean lyricists from the word play, methaphor/simile, and vocab view point. |

| Indeed
Wasn't Powell bitching about our bias towards lyricists vs true mcs? We'll see what the difference is on the polls.
Then we should do flow masters. |

"And a year before your kids tenth birthday came, you didn't have to wait for candles on the cake to see the nine flame"

| Only thing that kills Celph like most of these types is being one dimensional. I would pay top dollar to see him, Rino, Canibus, and Enimem in a battle. |

Just a few for any polls you may be making Yeah there are different degrees of lyricists imo. Like the true to life, emotion, and poetic type of lyricists. |

| Dre and Cee-lo will get mentioned whether or not they're on any one's lists.
I enjoy Z-Ro much more for his delivery then his lyrics themselves. If you put Ro in it you gotta put people like Tech N9ne in there too and I'm not interested in that can or worms. |

Kev, you said "word play, methaphor/simile, and vocab view point" Maybe you're not digging to deep into the lyrics, but Boots packs a ridiculous amount of meaning into every word he spits. His vocab and metaphors are ridiculous. Boots kills it by all your criteria IMO. Big Mike? Maybe I get caught up in his flow and how he wraps words around each other, so maybe he would fit better in the flow department depending on how you interpret it. Bun-B? I don't see your issue there. His word play is one of a kind IMO. EDIT: Not sure what you mean with The Heavster being a "wide range" lyricist, but I still think he fits in great here.

| Alan yeah Bun B does have good word play so I guess I can see that. I just always looked at him as more of a hardcore/reality lyricists. I meant Hev is a wide range lyricists because he is not a one dimensional type of lyricists like a lot of the ones mentioned. Heavy D is lyrical in other criteria other than the punchline/word play era. Like his subject matter can be reality lyricism to female relation lyricism if we were to break it down.
And Powell I had to laugh about what you said fa real but Hev would not want to see Willie D on the reality rhyme/hardcore tip because that is his comfort zone just like Willie D would not want to see Heav on the punchline/flow battle tip. |

You know I had to add that in right??? LMAO! I never put Willie or Bushwick in my Top 10, so I don't know why you're coming at me with that. Only Kev has Willie in his Top 20. You don't have to convince me of Heavy D's dopeness, I own all but one of his albums, and most of them are at least 4 stars. I love the posse cuts too. My fav Heavy D song is "You Can't See What I Can See" which was STUPIDLY left off of Peaceful Journey. I never said Hev wasn't dope, I just don't have him in my Top 10. He'd make my Top 40-50 though. |
