No sir. What I was trying to say, in a nutshell, was that I expected Tran to be the only person to vote them top 5. Alan doing so came as a surprise (well, in hindsight, not really) to me.
Therefore, you are wrong, good sir. lol

Actually, I would bet I've been listening to Blue Scholars longer than Trans Fat...lol.
I'm not sure, but I saw them in concert in 2004 and it's still easily one of the top 5 live hip-hop shows I've seen. I bought both the self-titled debut and and Long March EP right there and have been spinning their records very steadily since 2004. These guys were basically favorites of mine from the jump, and have been one of my most listened to duos in the past 5 years.
My rankings:
Blue Scholars (4.5 stars) The Long March EP (5 stars) Bayani (5 stars)
All of these have stellar replay value...at least for myself. The "Joe Metro EP" & "Butter & Gun$ EP" were nice as well. Still gotta check out their newest EP "OOF! EP".

No good? I think Tran said it was similar to their more recent work...(?)
Norf, you did see that the "Bayani Redux" includes a new track featuring Shad, right? I'll probably just download that cut...can't justify buying the whole album again.

You're not a real fan...
But I will wait until it drops to a penny on amazon...and then download the shad song...

Tam thinks that it's wack, but I would say that it's 2.5 or 3 stars. Not the best BS material out there, IMO. I know better to write them off, though.
Where do I find this Bayani Redux? Shad material is a must have for this listener.

Is it just forgettable or something (aside from the god awful artwork)?
The Bayani Redux is on Amazon. And I didn't even know it was already released (came out 9/1).

Smnuts...I saw them performing at my school in 2004...I think it was 2004.
Al, I said Oof! is much different from their past works. The EP has a more uplifting, tropical feel to it. It's dope to me, 4 stars truthfully. The first couple songs were just decent to me, but it picks up after that. I paid almost $13 for a hard copy<----money well spent considering the EP is limited to only 808 copies.
Also Southbound and 27 are old songs that were on their EP.
"But I still gotta oof you for voting neither ()."

Smh @ Al calling me Trans Fat...
Oof everybody (big time )
Alright, I'll check it out today probably. Is Trans Fat just Norf's pet name for you? lol
2004 was their jump-off point, but I just realized my year was wrong. I saw them in '05 because the Long March EP had just dropped, and that dropped in '05. I also got the reissue of the debut, which dropped in '05.
Good to know about those EP cuts, forgot about that info...
