Just got my first Royce solo in the mail yesterday, "Death Is Certain". I love it. I'll definitely be checking out "Street Hop" but wanted to know if he had anything else worth getting, maybe "Bar Exam"?

I recommend all his albums...to download find the original Destroy and Rebuild 2 CD set.

Bar Exam 1 and 2 are worth checking for free and buying on CD if available.

But, SRP is right. Everything is worth checking out. "Independent's Day" is his worst work, though.

After DIC, I'd get:

The Album
Bar Exam
Build & Destroy (both discs)
Rock City

And then everything else

Lol, I'm just kidding. But, you really don't think so? Rock City has a couple of weak tracks, whereas the album is flawless, IMO. The Bar Exam is probably one of the best mixtapes ever, too.

i dont know im a big Rock City fan, it may have a few tracks i dont like but the high's of it are better than The Album and the Bar Exam for me. i dont consider The Album flawless though either but Bar Exam is def one of the better mixtapes ive heard

I didn't mean flawless... but it sits at 5 stars for me. Boom is the only song on Rock City that I would put over Let's Talk, Rewind, Angel, We Deep, Promise Land, Give Up Your Guns... I need to listen to The Album now, lol

I feel like he was still trying to find that one niche on Rock City... he tried a bunch of different ish on there. I think Death Is Certain is where he shined the most; with the dark, meaningful ish

Boom, Its Tuesday, Rock City, King of Kings, Who Am I, and Life all hang with the songs you mentioned, i probly like them better actually. The Album is 5 stars to you??? ive never seen it that high... i love me some Royce but i do miss his Rock City/Death is Certain/Bad Meets Evil style though. I think he was darker and his voice was better back then IMO

Went ahead and ordered another one but i went with the cheapest. I ordered "Build and Destroy: Lost Sessions Pt. 1". Any good? Had some good reviews.

That one is good Taylor - but it is just selections from the original Build and Destroy which was a 2 disc set. You should find that one online since it was only ever pressed underground.
