Rank Das EFX

Obviously Dead Serious is a classic, and it's the only Album of their's i own. How do the rest of their albums rank?

Hold It Down and Straight Up Sewaside are both 5 stars to me. Objectively, they're both above 4 stars easy.
Generation EFX is good, also, but not as good as the first three.
Stay away from How We Do

You pretty much summed it up for Shon. Hold It Down is highly underrated though. The Microphone Master Remix with Mobb Deep should have been on there though.

Dead Serious- 5 stars, innovative for its time
Straight up Sewaside- 4-4.5 stars, slammin follow up to Dead Serious, I feel this album is better than Dead Serious
Hold It Down- 5 stars, 1995 classic and their best album IMO
Generation EFX- 3 stars, their worst album quite frankly
How We Do- haven't heard this one

"Straight up Sewaside" is my favorite album from Das, but the first 3 are pretty much gold IMO.

Yeah Hold It Down is my fav Das with Dead Serious coming next. I did not really like Straight Up but I need to hear it again it's been a long time.

If you have Generation EFX at 3 stars, How We Do is half a star

It sucks that Wayne had the same avatar as me, but I'm GLAD to have him here nonetheless, it's about time!!!

As for my Das EFX rankings...

Dead Serious (5 stars obviously)
Hold It Down (4.5 stars)
Straight Up Sewaside (4 stars)
Generation EFX (3.5 stars- Rap Scholar is worth two stars alone!)
How We Do (2 stars)

I don't think Generation EFX is as bad as many critics say it is. It's not in the class of the first three but I don't think it's a bad album at all. How We Do SUCKED though, avoid it at all costs!

I've played Straight Up Sewaside and Hold It Down. Both are dope, but the censoring on Straight Up Sewaside is more abundant than on Dead Serious. It is annoying. It's only a small complaint though.

Yeah, there is no PA version, unfortunately (of SUS or DS). I've owned several copies of each when I used to sell cassettes a bunch.

Yeah, i knew that going in because i've owned Dead Serious for a long time. It just seemed like S.U.S. was more explicit, and therefore there was more editing.

Only own Dead Serious, and I really dig that album.
