MNM's won pretty big yesterday so let's see if the reign stops today???

i'll probably get blasted but my personal preference here is Bone. Love that album. The Tribe is an all time classic, Organized Konfusion is a borderline classic, "E. 1999 Eternal" is a personal favorite that i'll never grow tired of and brings back alot of memories for me.

I think E. 1999 is every bit as classic as MM, but i know that's not the common opinion. I easily spin the Bone album more so my vote is for Bone.

All classics but Stress is a personal classic and gets my vote.

If they're all classics, then why does the OK album (no pun intended) have to be a personal classic?

smh. I know what he meant. Saying that it was a personal classic was completely irrelevant, though. He already established that they were all classics.

It wasn't irrelevant though. He was simply using his personal opinion as the deciding factor.

I like Stress, but I like O.K.'s debut better.

Both O.K. albums are classics, but MM is one of my Top 25 albums of all time whereas O.K.'s debut is only about Top 100 for me.

Well as you know, there are more than 100 hip-hop classics. But I dig the standouts on MM more than the other two and I bump it a lot more.

Stress falls short of my Top 100, I actually like OK's debut better. And E1999 ranks near the end of my Top 100. While I feel both are classics, there's about an 80 album gap between MM and E1999 for me. That's why I called it a blowout.

I was lucky enough to get a good copy of OK's debut, and i love the hell out of it. It's easily a classic in my book. Stress is a hair behind, but it's still a dope album.

That song is dope too, but I liked how Pharoahe and O.C. ripped Fudge Pudge. Prince Poetry was dope too, but the other two were masterful on that track.

But you have to admit, Releasing Hypnotical Gases is easily the most lyrically murderous cut on there.

Definitely. I love the dark vibe and the political message it holds. It basically was a preview of Stress, which was a darker and more thought provoking album. I just think OK were hungrier, and the production hit its peak on Stress. OK's debut is also classic, but I think it has not stood the test of time as well as Stress. I also have a stereo CD copy of both albums.

You think so? I always thought their greatest lyricism was captured on their debut. Stress was darker and was more hardcore...which is why it's Kev's favorite...lol. I agree they were very hungry on that album, but it was a little more about the vibe than it was skills IMO. Their debut is lyrically one of my favorites of all time. Stress just isn't quite as impressive IMO.
