Well somebody's gotta nominate them.....personally I think it's RIDICULOUS that it took 90-100 days to nominate Run-DMC, Rakim, The Roots, and Gangstarr.

And I HAVE NOT always nominated East Coast albums. I've also nominated albums from Outkast, Cube, Face, Pharcyde, etc.

Are we talking about the Toon thread? and people will always vote on these threads, but they quit posting their opinion cause these are boring picks for them. you can continue to pretend like your picks aren't boring, but so far we got SRP, Kev, and myself who think otherwise. It's not the albums you're picking. it's the blatant bias to ignore everything else. Like i asked before(which you ignored), are there no other westcoast, south, or midwest classics left? I don't care about the mostly East Coast nominations (most of my favorite are East Coast), but if you get rid of the heavy hitters now, then you know by the end of this thread there will be complaining about how there aren't enough East Coast albums being presented. Also, only nominating your favorites gets the same result. Soon, your top 100 albums will have been nominated and you'll be bored with this thread, because nothing is going to get your vote.

I see your point, but I haven't been nominating all East Coast albums (even though the majority have been) and there are FAR MORE East Coast heavy hitters out there than what I'd be able to nominate in the next 2.5 weeks.

As for nominating my favs, I'll admit that I do love the albums I've nominated, but I didn't just nominated them because they're favs, I nominated them because they're consensus classics. All of my favs aren't even consensus classics. I just wanted to see the heavy hitters shine.

I've already got tommorrow's album picked out, and it is neither East Coast nor in my Top 100. Hope that makes the whiners happy.

I disagree. I find it interesting.

And I'm going top 100. Toward the back end. Production-wise, it's nothing great, but that lyricism from Finesse is superb. Classic album IMO.

Finesse is doper than all three and this album is a consensus classic. None of the three guys you mentioned (although Ras Kass could be argued) have released a consensus classic.
