| Top 50, probably higher. This and "I Used To Love Her" are easily my two favorite Common songs for me. | |

| Top 100 I suppose. They Say would have been top 25 though. | |

| Good song but it falls right outside of my Top 100.
From the same album though, The 6th Sense would make my list. |

It's not because of that entirely, I also feel that 6th Sense was one of Common's deepest songs. The Light is dope too, but it's in my Top 120 or so, like I said right outside. Also, Like Water For Chocolate is among my Top 100 albums, my 2nd fav from Common so GTFOH with the bias accusations. |

If 6th Sense was even a single. I think a top 100 single doesn't necessarily have to be a top 100 song. And the message in this song and fact it got to much radio play makes it more deserving than a lot of the other songs that made it. |

| 6th Sense was the lead single, The Light dropped the same day as the album. This is the only Common album I own, and it's because of 6th Sense. |

| Ah... proof that 6th sense was not a better single... it didn't get anywhere near as much radio play as The Light. |

And the message in this song and fact it got to much radio play makes it more deserving than a lot of the other songs that made it. The 6th Sense was the first single off LWFC, and The Light was the second one. As far as it being better than 6th Sense, I can respect that opinion but I disagree. Both songs had dope messages but 6th Sense had a much deeper message. He was talking about the entire landscape of hip-hop, whereas The Light was simply a love song albeit a dope one. Of course The Light got get more radio play because it's a love song and more commercial than The 6th Sense. That doesn't make it a better track though. All that being said, I wouldn't be upset with The Light making the cut.

| Nah, that illmatic biting doesn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a dope album and I'll probably buy it at some point, but I like Com when he's doing his own thing. This and Be are the only Common albums I own. |

SMH, I don't see it like that at all and I don't see how anyone could. Illmatic is my all time fav, but Resurrection came out the exact same year and Common and Nas didn't know each other personally at that point. Resurrection is easily the best Common album IMO. Also, if you like Be, then you should like One Day It'll All Make Sense (which trumps Be IMO). |
