| This label really stepped up at a time when hip hop started to take a turn for the worst. They dropped a lot of good shit and a few classics
What are your top 5 Rawkus Records???
1. Mos Def - Black On Both Sides 2. Mos Def & Talib Kweli - Black Star 3. Reflection Eternal - Train Of Thought 4. Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs 5. Company Flow - Funcrusher Plus
I wanted to put Soundbombing 2 on but couldn't find room
Honourable mentions go to:
Smut Peddlers - Porn Again Lyricist Lounge 1 Talib Kweli - Quality Soundbombing 1 Big L - The Big Picture High & Mighty - Home Field Advantage Hi-Tek - Hi-Teknology |

| Very true, Slang.
In terms of the albums I reach for the most...
1. Reflection Eternal - Train of Thought (It's a flawless album IMO) 2. Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are... 3. Mos Def - Black on Both Sides 4. Hi-Tek - Hi-Teknology 5. Talib Kweli - Quality
Hip Hop for Respect is close, but it's way too short...
Ya know, I thought for the longest that Fantastic Damage came out on Rawkus. lol If it did, it would've been #2 or #3 on my list... | |
