Well, there's your answer. Importance and quality don't always go hand in hand, and the voting reflects that. If Da Shinin is top 25, which 74 albums don't deserve to be on my list?

you could make arguments that you dont need multiple albums for certain artists when they didnt really change their sound/formula or revolutionize an aspect of the game as much as other albums

for example:

That's 26 albums. Would you care to liste the other 48 i asked for? I also know people on this forum that would have some of those album in their top 25 let alone top 50. The fact is you complained about the importance of Dah Shinin(which is debatable) not being reflected in the voting, and thewn you turn around and say Raising Hell is not your # 1 album when it could very well be the most important hip hop release ever. Hell, you voted top 50. That's more of an insult than Dah Shinin not being voted top 50 if you ask me. If it's importance isn't reflected in your list why should Dah Shinin be reflected in the lists of others?

importance is reflected on my list...i wouldnt vote for too many albums by the same artist like you listed. Also, i was commenting on the amt of neither votes, not the lack of top 25 votes. Therefore i would only need 24 more, not 48, and the difference between 25 and 50 is the personal preference. The importance and quality is what get the album into the top 50.

whatever, i see your point, i just think Dah Shinin did more for hip hop musically than people are taking into account, personal preference will always be personal preference but if we end up with a list with like 10 artists representing 90% of the East's 50 that IMO is wack.

Slang, not to play devil's advocate but.....

1) You mentioned Stillmatic and Lost Tapes TWICE which makes no fucking sense. While Dah Shinin is in my Top 50 for the East, Stillmatic and Lost Tapes are both better IMO.

2) A few of those albums would make my Top 50 for the East, some of which I like more than Dah Shinin.
