| Remixes come in different varieties. Some remixes just switch the beat up(California Love), and some remixes just turn into a glorified posse cut(Made You Look). What Remixes are vastly superior to their original? | |

It's funny, because neither could hold a matchstick to any of Biggie's good tracks.

| ATCQ feat. LONS: Scenario- Phife Dawg fucking RIPPED IT!! Both versions are great though. Arguably my fav remix of all time.
Nas feat. R. Kelly: Street Dreams- I like the original too, but the remix has that smooth, laid back feel to it.
Jeru The Damaja- Can't Stop The Prophet: Pete Rock laced him with a KILLER beat!!
Ice Cube feat Das EFX- Check Yo Self: They ripped that Message beat to shreds!
Outkast- Playaz Ball: The video version is much better than the album version IMO.
De La Soul- Buddy: Same as above.
Boogie Down Productions: You Must Learn- ALSO same as above. It sucks that I can't find a copy the the video version beat anywhere.
Black Sheep- Strobelight Honey: I like both versions but the one with the clown/circus beat was BANANAS!
Redman & Method Man- How High: Fly Robins Fly, up up through the sky!!!
Talib Kweli feat. Jay Z, Kanye, Mos Def, and Busta Rhymes- Get By: Kanye spit one of his dopest verses ever on this track.

The original is much better, IMO. The original Message? yes. The original Check Yo Self? no.

Not me, I like the smooth beat better and Buck's lyrics were far superior in the remix IMO. |

The only thing it was missing was Melly Mel saying "It's like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under" |

| Really though, don't you think Cube's whole point kind of contradicts The Message? I mean, its whatever with the sample they used, but the vocals would've been way out of place.
I'm with them, though. The remix came off kind of choppy.

| Black Moon- Buck Em Down..Props KJ for mentioning the Jazzy Belle Remix w/Babyface..That's on my Best Of Outkast playlist on the Ipod. I also agree with you on the Get By remix.
Scenario eventhough I like versions The Simon Says remix is ridiculous but I also like the original Buddy, I like both versions Flava In Ya Ear, the remix by a landslide
