| Top 10 easily....the main reason why Biggie is in so many peoples top 10. I know the east-west hype, the Pac beef, and his death plays a role but this is the main reason imo. |

| Wow, the man is a top 10 mc to you, but he doesn't have an album in your top 25? It's certainly possible, but it's still a bit surprising to me. | |

| No he doesn't and neither does Rakim...both of them have multiple albums in my top 50 but not my top 25....
A Tribe Called Quest Public Enemy KRS-One Nas LL Cool J Ultramagnetic MC's Outkast
and a few other heads are all over my top 25 albums! but the albums and the top 10 emcees are two completely different things IMO!

| LOL....nah I understand my dude I was just giving you an explanation thats all...
Q-Tip is a top 40 emcee of all-time for me he fits somewhere in the late 30's but he has two albums in my top 10 albums of all-time (as an example)
and honestly no one from Ultramagnetic makes my top 50 emcees of all-time (Keith is in my top 55) but they also make an appearance in my top 10 hip-hop albums of all-time
Run-D.M.C. has 2 appearances in my top 25 hip-hop albums as well but neither one of them is my top 50 emcees of all-time (D.M.C. is in my top 70 and Run is too but is behind Dee just a little lyrically IMO)
so this is kinda where I was getting at with it man!

| I'm the same way. Scarface is my favorite but he doesn't appear in my top 10. However, with his solo stuff and Geto Boys stuff combined, he'd probably appear in my top 100 6-7 times. That's consistency. | |

| Neither for me personally. Great album, but the stories just aren't for me, despite being excellent in craft. If only more tracks were like Juicy....
I just bumped this album twice yesterday though, because I just bought "Notorious" on DVD. Excellent fucking movie by the way. One of the better music biopic's I've ever seen. Very interesting story...I honestly never knew nearly that much of it....
All that said, I think I may like Life After Death more because of the material change. I'll have to bump that soon and reflect on that...

Yeah, i think there are far more standouts on LAD, but there is filler cause it's a double album. I don't think there is any question that Biggie was a better MC on LAD compared to RTD.

I thought it was superb. While there were some events that were left out that should have been included, I enjoyed the movie and thought the actors did an excellent job. And no way is Life After Death as good as Ready To Die. I love both albums, but RTD reached higher highs IMO.

It's dope man. Every hip-hop head should see it IMO. The price finally dropped to $13 at Target. Fuck, I just checked on Amazon - 40 cents used....$1 new! WTF! I'm retarded. lol

| I completely co-sign Pounds and Kev. This is a must see for ANY true hip-hop head. Terry and Linker, go cop this, or at least rent it. It's worth every penny.
And to Pounds, about what was left out. I would have liked to have seen his relationships with Mr. Cee and Jay Z mentioned. He was about to form a group with Jay, Lil Cease, and Charli Baltimore called "The Commission" before he passed. That group would have been dope as fuck. |

Cease and Baltimore have had their moments, just as many secondary members of groups have (most notably Willie D) |

| ummm not most notably... more like "I am saying this to try to bother you because I think you will go crazy" or "I feel the need to try to diss a southern group or rapper even when you are just trying to have a civil discussion"
Lil' Cease and Charli Baltimore have no moments IMO. Any dope songs Cease was ever on had to do with the beat, the hook, and other rappers on there. His solo album is atrocious. And there is a reason Charli baltimore never blew up. She got a push because she was biggie's hoe, nothing more, nothing less.
Willie D and Bushwick were actually primary members of the Geto Boys and actually the focus of the group before Scarface blew up the way he did. If you listen to Grip It you can clearly hear Willie D's influence on damn near every song and Bushwick got his shine plenty too. There was a reason Willie got a solo out before Face did. |

| KJ, Do you really think Charli Baltimore and Lil' Cease are dope rappers?
If you do just state your case and move on - but I will say that you and I both know that "the hip-hop world" doesn't think so which is why Charli had one album that never really came out and Lil' Cease had one album that no one wants.
It has nothing to do with any bias or any other bullshit you are trying to bring into the conversation.
Commission would have been a doper idea had it been Biggie, Jay-Z, and Lil' Kim and someone else not named Lil' Cease. That's my opinion, but the truth is also that Cease is no wear near Jay or Biggie in terms of skill so he has no business rapping with them for an entire album - as is the case with Charli. |

I'm not saying that either Cease or Charli are on the level of Biggie or Jay, but they've had their moments. Cease has sounded hella dope at times, most notably on the JR Mafia debut album Conspiracy. Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella squad sounded dope despite sub-par rappers like Memphis Bleek and Amil, and I'd easily take Cease and Charli over those two, and of course Biggie over Beans even though I like both of them. The Dynasty sounded more like a Roc-A-Fella collab more than a Jay-Z solo IMO. |
