I only spun this once today, but I think I like it more than Dinner & A Movie. I really did not like that album at all, but I can see myself spinning this for a couple days.

I didn't see the hype behind Dinner & A Movie when i first heard it. It took more than a few spins before i really appreciated it. Also, I think you have to be in a certain mood to enjoy it as well unless you listen to horrocore gangsta stuff all the time. I think it's probably the best album so far this year even if it isn't my favorite if that makes sense

G-Macc is dope, I might consider getting this once I hear some... I dont wanna DL but anyone know where there's any samples up?

I ordered it ASAP it should be here any day now. I have been listening to Emergency Powers and Indonesia non stop. How do you like it compared to those two?

Cape Verde sounds like the album they've been trying to make all along, if you know what I mean...I think those two are incredible, too, but they don't touch Cape Verde.

It's not all that crazy weird, really. I think Jeff went into it already not liking SCFB. Maybe I'm wrong. They've definitely been weirder. Check the thread, I posted a few samples.

I personally didn't think it was weird at all. OJ Simpson came off as much weirder to me. The new Twin Perils album? Weirder. Cosmogramma? Weirder. That being said, I came into Cape Verde never hearing any SCFB material before. It's possible that it was just a new sound that appealed to me, while to you you might have already heard it on their last album and were not as impressed.

You guys are looking too far into my post. I was talking to Steve, saying that he would classify their style as "crazy weird shit", as he's described similar stuff in the past, and stating that I'm usual more prone to liking this, and I didn't. Actually, I have liked a few things Ex and Trotter posted from SCFB in the past, but just like with this album, it's not the norm. I never said they were wack, just not something I could listen to a whole album of.

Also, this is supposed to be about G Macc's album, which is dope. His flow is weird to get used to, but this has very consistent production, and the theme is pretty dope overall as well. Couple of dude tracks, but pretty dope IMO. 4 or so.

After a few more listens through I can def rec this g-macc album for those of u wondering about it to check it out. It's not your average hip hop album which is what I liked about it. Beats and rhymes deffinitely work together.
