| Wow, what a position this album was in when it came out. It was released two years after the classic Bigger And Deffer album and 1 year before the seminal Mama Said Knock You Out. Now with years of time and perspective, your thoughts on LL's 3rd album. |

| It's about a 4-4.25 star album, I'd say it's the 5th best in his catalog.

| Agree with the rating, don't really agree that it's his 5th best. I have it 4th. But I haven't heard his whole catalog.

| I haven't bumped this one in quite some time. I'll revisit it soon. Any of you think this album is better than 14 Shots To The Dome? |

I don't. 14 Shots, BAD and Radio are the 3 I have in front of this one. I think this and Mama Said... are about even.

| Mama Said Knock You Out is the best LL album IMO, followed by Radio, BAD, Mr. Smith, and then WWAP.
14 Shots To The Dome sucked IMO. The rhymes weren't as good as any of the previous albums, and the production was so-so at best.

It's far better than 14 Shots, see my last statement. |

| Yeah I agree 14 Shots To The Dome was horrible. I'll take this one over 14 Shots... I rate this at 4 stars. | |

No you suck, the reason why 14 Shots was so dope cause it showed LL could adapt to the times.

| this one was a 4 star effort...it was pretty good and it contained the original version of Jingling Baby which was very dope and Jack The Ripper was on it as well...
but I have never heard anyone rank this one with up with Mama Said Knock You Out are you sure Myestro??
I've personally got Radio number one and Mama is number 2 in his catalog......Marley Marl was shining throughout that one production wise and Cool J was killing it lyrically....IMO

No you suck, the reason why 14 Shots was so dope cause it showed LL could adapt to the times. Adapt to the times? I beg to differ man. I'd say those other albums had fresher production. None of that stuff is dated so I don't know what you mean there. LL has never had a problem with adapting to the times, he just wasn't able to bang out the hits consistently after Mr. Smith, which was the follow-up to 14 Shots. |

It's akin to Wu-Tang Forever and Killarmy's "Silent Weapons..." I like them both, but for different reasons. I don't fault anyone's opinion. I just have my own. I'd probably give Mama Said a slight edge, but it's not far ahead. And on any given day, they could swap spots. And I like 14 Shots better, because I'm weird like that. I don't care who disagrees.

Well, listen to Swollen Members, Sweatshop Union, and all the other obscure stuff I list as favorites year by year. My taste certainly strays from the norm. I like what I like, and if people disagree, that's up to them.

You're only weird to those that disagree. 14 Shots>>>>>>>>> WWAP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jingling Baby, Jack The Ripper, and Going Back To Cali murder anything on 14 Shots. And neither album even comes close to MSKYO. |

| I actually like the remix to Jingling better...
I think I reach for 14 Shots more than WWAP. I really only listen to Jack The Ripper if I want to hear anything from WWAP. Not a big fan of Going Back To Cali.

I like the remix to Jingling better as well, but even the original still murders most songs on 14 Shots. I don't connect with 14 Shots because he was straying away from what made him popular when there was no need to do so. He returned to his original Formula on Mr. Smith, much to my delight. 14 Shots didn't even have the Pink Cookies remix on it. |

LOL, that happened to me with Mama Said Knock You Out. I was playing the title track and To Da Break Of Dawn constantly. I bought the tape again, and bought the CD. |
