Hard, but Pete Rock wins this one. Return of the Mecca is one of the best openings to an album I've ever heard.

this is the hardest one for me yet...both of these are in my top 10 favorites of all time i gotta think about this a little more

Mecca wins this one...it's closer than some care to admit but Pete murdered those beats on that album...

I'll take Pete Rock but you can't deny that Da Beatninerz's production is sick. Anyone who says its a blowout needs to check themselves.

Both these albums are in my top 15.

Check nothing....lol. I think it's easily a blowout. Da Beatninerz production here is dope, but it ain't touching Pete's magnum opus IMO.

I'm not hating. I've heard the album a shit load of times. It is a classic, but I really don't think it's one of the best produced albums of the 1992-1994 era by a long shot.
