That was my first Gang Starr record, and it'd land as #2 for me.

| Moment Of Truth is when they were shining over the "shiny-suit man" for me
the landscape of hip-hop had changed in 1998, but Preemo was still able to create a gem with that one...
it wins for me | |

it wins for me I thinkwe could argue for days over which Gangstarr album had the best production, and no one would be wrong. I think Guru was at his best on Daily Operation.

| This one is a tough call but I'm going with Moment Of Truth.
Reason being, I thought that album saw Guru's best lyrical performances such as on the title track, Work, New York Strait Talk, Above The Clouds, JFK 2 LAX, among others.
Primo is dope on EVERY album, but I thought Guru REALLY raised his game on Moment Of Truth. |

| Dang. Surprised to only see my vote for Step in the Arena up there. It's got 3 of my all time favs... "Check The Technique", "Lovesick", & "Just To Get A Rep". The whole thing is banging IMO. | |

That's probably my second fav Pounds. I love Just To Get A Rep and Soliloquy Of Chaos. |

| Had to give it to Moment of Truth over Hard to Earn. Both are easily my favorites from them. | |

| Full Clip...it's the best of all worlds!
I had to go Hard To Earn, since Moment of Truth had a track that I didn't care for. "Make money, money...Go shoppin..." uh, yeah...
So, to me Hard To Earn barely edges out Daily Operation.

| Tough call...I finally voted for Daily Operation, which represents the perfect fusion between Guru's monotone and Preemo jazz breaks. Step in The Arena second, Moment Of Truth third. Gang Starr have one of the most impressive discogs of all time. They never made a wack album, anywhere near. | |
