Kast in the biggest blowout ever. That album has really grown on me. Its right on par with ATLiens and Aquemini.

lol....I can see why Kev hates this album...and there is no way it would have beat Kast's debut, but the Co Flow is a classic in it's own right IMO.

lol..come on man. The Co Flow is 5 stars IMO. Lyrically, thematically, and production-wise, it is not your deal. So I can see why you don't like it. To those who enjoy a more abstract style can see the uniqueness and importance of the recording. It was some very untouched ground in 1997.

I like Fun Plus, but it's not even my fav underground album personally.

I can understand this. I personally dislike this album and its certainly not for everyone. You are right that fans of the more abstract style would appreciate it much more. I tried to get into it but I just couldn't.

So you're saying that only East Coasters like KRS? That's not true at all, dude. If it was then he wouldn't be so revered among Hip-Hop nation. While most of his fans are from the East, all of them are not. Pounds and Terry are prime examples, both of which rank him as the GOAT.

I don't know about that. Outkast's debut was one of the most critically acclaimed of 1994, and that's a year that had TONS of consensus classics like Illmatic, Ready To Die, The Diary, Resurrection, Sun Rises, and the like.

I think Outkast's debut had more acclaim when it dropped while it seems Funcrusher Plus has more positive "in retrospect" reviews.

Ah, my bad I interpreted your comment a different way. Yeah I see that. Especially on sites like Pitchfork and Sputnik which are full of hipster white nerds, I see Funcrusher Plus being held in higher regard. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that describes the entire fanbase of CoFlow or that the album is bad. It's not. It's a classic to me and should be regarded as a classic to hip hop fans in general. But those sites review maybe five hip hop albums a year and love Anticon and Rhymesayers stuff more than anything. I don't care about the reviews from either of those sites.

Allmusic is fuckin queer. They have Stankonia ranked ahead of ATLiens and Southernplayalistic.
