| Wow Halfy, you've got BR&L at 5 stars? I suppose I can see why someone would feel that way, but I've never heard anyone say that before. I've got their first three albums at 5 stars though. | |

| I must be the only one who thinks that "Looks like a job for..." Is a classic material. There are some boring featurings, but it's not taking away the greatness of Kane, lol. And production is awesome too.
If it was only Kane album ever released, would u still rate it that low, Powell and TicNitty?

I think I would. But take my rating with a grain of salt. I just got the album earlier this year and probably only listened to it 2-3 times. I'll tell you what it is some what odd listening to Kane trying to ride the hardcore wave that was big around that time. My personal fav Kane album is Taste Of Chocolate with Its A Big Daddy Thing coming next.

I've only bumped it a few times and I remember loving it. Also, I'm hoping I feel the same way about the Ice-T album. I knew I heard it before and dug it, but it's been a long time. Loving that Heavy D too. Up there with his previous 2 IMO.

I'm hoping I dig that Warren G more than you. From what I hear, it's basically an underground album....less guests, more Warren G...less mass appeal. I read good reviews anyway. I'm looking forward to that Paris too. I've heard great things about it.

If it was only Kane album ever released, would u still rate it that low, Powell and TicNitty? I feel it's pretty close to classic. I'd give it about 4.5 stars. Definitely my #3 favorite from him.

It's my 3rd favorite from Kane behind It's A Big Daddy Thing and Long Live The Kane. I can see why someone would feel it's classic, but to me it's not quite on the level of his first two albums. I have it at 4.25.

Yeah, I hear ya there. Personally, I think Sleeping With The Enemy is better though. That's just my opinion. I can see that. There isn't much variance between his albums - or quality for that matter. I've latched on to Sonic Jihad, but I've been on a Paris listening binge lately....so that may change....

Unfortunately, as I've always felt, the beats do not hold up on this record. One of Del's better offerings lyrically, but the beats (or at least engineering) brings it down at least an entire star for me.

You must be thinking of a different album, Jack Of Spades. I've bumped this about 5 times in the past month - definitely one of BDK's finest and most solid albums. Maybe you're thinking of "Prince Of Darkness" or "Daddy's Home"? Or maybe you're not much of a Kane fan?
