| LOL, it is a good year indeed. You know there's some people who will never be happy, but it's hard to complain about this year. I got quite a few albums at least 4.25 stars(some even higher). | |

| While I agree, no year is ever going to be like 1988 or 1994 or 1492 when columbus sailed the ocean blue. There were just so many thousands of millions of 5 star classics in those years.

| I'm already more excited about albums that have dropped in the first four months of 2011 than I was by shit that dropped all year in 2010. | |

| I also concur. If nothing else good came out this year, I'd still be pretty happy listening to W.A.R., R4, Oneirology, The Family Sign, Gutter Rainbows and Return to the Winner's Circle for a long while. I haven't even checked out what else is coming this year except Pilot Talk 3. | |

Is Muscle Car Chronicles not gonna drop this year?

Hmmm, I'm usually praising the years as they come as well, but I haven't found a single album I really like this year yet. I've only heard under 10 albums or so this year, and all have either been disappointing or underwhelming to me. A couple 4 star albums, but nothing I'd consistently spin over the years. Except for Big Jess' free albums....which I don't think many take seriously (enough).

| I've heard one of those Big Jess' albums... it was actually pretty good... gonna find time to spin the other one soon. | |

| Glad to hear it, SRP. My only slight complaint is that I wish it was mastered a bit better. A small complaint, cause I do like them a lot...
I don't know what I'm really missing this year that people are so hype about. I guess some of these bigger names dropping albums don't excite me much...at least not yet. Shit, even every underground album I've bought lately has been weak or mediocre. Call me disappointed....

| eh, I like this year just as much as I've liked most recent years, I think some people may be broadening their horizon more this year (like peeping free albums/mixtapes more) and the sort. I don't think I've been blown away by anything this year just yet, but have been happy with the CDs I have peeped for the most part. | |

| Yeah this is shaping up to be much like 2010 for me. Unless Vakill's and on the non hip hop side of things Jesu's new albums are really dope. I have some hope for those two. | |

| I thought last year was much better by this point. Monche, FAB, CL, and Saigon are the only really standouts so far. E-40 dropped some dope, too. | |
